Don't be so hard on yourself V. You weren't to know it was so serious. You're probably a bit more complacent than most would be having worked in that environment yourself. And as you've rightly said, you've got enough on your plate just now. I'm sure DD is just glad she had you to text. Thankfully no one came to any harm
Thanks. There were lots of Firemen involved but dd says did not make up for missed sector pay. But had she done her second flight of the day she would have landed just as Luton airport was shut and spent 5 hours on plane full of angry passengers so she sounded relieved today.
I always check news when she reports anything but it said they performed a controlled explosion on a hairdryer. Sadly not the case this time:( Already at Threat level at airport.
Getting my packing sorted so not to forget the most important medication this time. Really optimistic that Dad might fancy a short trip out in car so will suggest garden centre.
We feel so bad he was in hellish pain for 3 weeks but he didn't explain properly what the matter was. All part of the disease but we are more aware now.
I am still not allowed to stay over so 3 nights couch surfing but might see if Premier inn drop price at any time.
Gruffalo at Derngate on thursday with dgd first so this Grandma must read the book before she goes as do not have a clue who the Gruffalo is:eek:
I see it is a quiet day today. Anyone else get the £5 fruit and veg on cos? Told dd to spend and give me receipt and I will give her the £5. Missed out on the cos £10 but this is little consolation.

Interesting - are there any Elite drinkers with space in their wine cellars I wonder?
It looks like you need 5 yellow tails, a random wine - plus 8 small fillers min - maybe COS/Shopotize things that match prices Asda/tesco - I've been today so OH won't take me again“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Giovanni experiment was successful.:)
I froze the mushroom one and cooked it from frozen straight into a pan of boiling water. added a tin of ratatouille provencale (which I bought by mistake as a filler (different pan)) the meal was lovely.
so I am going to freeze some now. hth
you may wish to wait until tomorrow to see if im still posting0 -

Got a fair bit of this wine and the Shiraz as Subs when The Rousillon? glitch was on a couple of months ago. It's good stuff and very drinkable so I'd definitely recommend, however I'm going to give this one a miss though as it still exceeds my max price.0 -

Having a mental block here does the 25% usually show if you buy 6 of the same wine.
It won't work if you buy 5 mhoc as the offer in As is 2 for £10 so the yellowtail needs to be bought in 2s.0 -

Your poor son, hope it works out ok for him.
The school phoned, and I explained that DS was having extra help with his maths and that the homework was not suited to his level and he was really struggling. The teacher was not aware of the problems  asked what level he got in his sats, and said they had still not received the paperwork.
I telephoned his old school, and they said they have sent it so, its looks like it has got lost somewhere in the system. I have had various phonecalls this afternoon, after I flagged this up, as they were not aware of his difficulties in maths, so they are having all the paperwork sent to them today, and are going to ring me later in the week, early next week and discuss his needs. So hopefully it will be sorted.
I am glad I phoned today otherwise he could have been struggling and the teachers had no idea.
I'm glad you're hopefully getting it sorted, at least the teacher now knows.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

I think my max price has gone out the window after reading that the 25% off does not work any more if it takes a wine to below the minimum pricing thingy.0 -
Thanks for this, I've found a 65p bread mix on mys at Aldi - sounds good and I could add some Italian herbs for taste.
Asda also have a fancy for Italian one 300g size for 75prhosynbach wrote: »afternoon all hope everyone is well, x been at dd1 new house today helping her plan the kitchen and did some painting,
thanks, was suprised how popular they were not made them for ages and had to do a second batch dd1 partner had never had them and he ate 5:eek::eek:
these were done with a cheapy bread mix,:o as its the quickest way to do them, (also a 80p mix will do 3 x 14" pizzas) rolled thinly, left to rise then add toppings and cook, I always make in large trays or individual ones in cake tins, but remember to oil them i forgot once and they were welded to the tray:rotfl: I do freeze the bases but cook first, then just need to add toppings which are usually leftovers, have frozen the complete pizza as well . and yes pesto works have done that, especially with my veggie one
thanksbut i am a simple cook really dont do anything complicated, luckily everyone here likes simple food.;) there are things i cant do. pastry, and yorkshire puddings have to be shop brought as they always go wrong:o:o presentation is not one of my strong points either, :rotfl:
