Could you do some volunteering in hospital radio for a bit? That will keep you connected with people as you work on what to do next.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Have you thought about using Aspergers forums to ask them about your employment options based on their experiences? That might be a source of inspiration.

Nothing to stop you from creating your own blog/website/twitter feed to publish articles based on your interests and keep your journalism skills active, build up a following and make contact with like minded people.

Very few people who study journalism or media studies get a career out of it. I can't remember the statistics I viewed but an article made clear that thousands of journalism students completed their studies each year while the National Union of Journalists only had a handful of people retiring, for example.

That said, there are usually many volunteering opportunities with charities and organisations in this area. CSV (at least in the past) used to have media related ones but I'm not aware of the status now. Even though it is unpaid and may not lead to paid employment, it could be a step in helping reduce your social withdrawal, give you social opportunities, improve your confidence and so on.

The degree also shows you are capable of learning to that level, so it is good experience for other jobs too.

Surely, if you know and understand this is a problem you could just stop it.

Also, posting in that tone may explain why some people don't like you and not liking someone is in no way the same as bullying them..

That woman in OP's third job sounds very much like a bully to me.

Surely your goal is to become independent and live without needing benefits?

Since when has OP said that he wants to remain on benefits? You have turned the subject on to that - congratulations

It is all a crusade to you, isn't it?
  • Not the same league but I really liked what a "rent a gob" celeb (that said I like her and found new respect for her :)) said on this morning the other day, that was her condition was simply her armour, have strength OP, don't tare every job the same as their are some gems out there, I'm of the thinking we're all passing through try, try, try until you find your comfort x

I did bash out a lovely long post, one that could easily beat the OP but it got prevented! :o
