    Evening all,

It's been a lovely day weather wise. Just my luck I didn't have a full load to wash and so a good drying day has gone to waste.

Got up late this morning, which made quite a nice change. Went up to the woods for a bit of a mooch this morning. We hadn't been for a while and I do miss it when I don't go.

DH went into the loft to get something out and realised the hot water was overflowing into the wrong tank, so he had to sort that out. I was a bit miffed because it involved draining the system and then running clean water through it. Now we are on a water meter, it's like watching money being washed away!

Dh made minced beef and onion suet pudding thing with veg. He loves it but I find the suet a bit sickly.

Oh well, have a good evening. :)

    Morning all.

1of3 so glad your little ones are recovering from the gastro bug. I dunno if I was fortunate or not but when my kids were little they never all had it at the same time... it was spread out over days if not weeks. Chickenpox went on for months in my house!

Another late night for me. I was up till the early hours watching a film. Even so I left hubby watching another film after I went to bed so I guess he will lose most of his day as he will be asleep. 1.30 I finally went to bed. No wonder my sleeping routine is out of sorts.

Ive just realized, this Thursday my daughter will be going back to work and I will be having my Grandson from then on on a Thursdays. I need to check routines with her. I think he will still be in his night clothes when I have him early in the morning.

Havent got anything planned for today but that's ok.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Judi

Once 1 of mine get it the other is sure to follow!
    NOT BUYING IT 2018!

Consumerism is.....buying things you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't know and probably wouldn't like even if you did know them.

    I

The Landlord from the flat next-door was in his garden doing some tidying up for his new tenant, so I was cheeky and asked him about the 'drying out' Lavender Flowers - he said I could take the lot :T. I've got a 'crafty lady' at the CS who'll 'do things' with them. :j.Freezer Inventory is now completed and to say 'my-flabber-is-gasted' is an absolute understatement :o. I really MUST start using up immediately fear.gif.
For the next couple of months I have to stick to buying 'basics only' - Tea / Coffee / Milk / Sugar / Fresh Salad / Potatoes / Bread / Toilet Rolls / Laundry Liquid / Dish-wash Liquid / Bleach - and THAT'S IT!!!

I once made lavender scones but I must admit I wasn't keen on the taste. When I go to visit my brother in France he has a huge lavender bush near his kitchen door (most folk do where he lives as it helps to deter flies/wasps etc)I always come home with several bagsful and buy some cheap cutain netting from a CS or Dunelm amd make lots of lavener bags to go into drawers and cupboards. My airing cupboard smells lovely and when I put clean bedding on my bed it always smells of lavender.

I too have far too much stuff in the freezer/food cupboards so am cutting right back to the bare minimum this coming month.Lots of NSD ahead I think. My DGS Ben is off to Uni in three weeks time so I may be able to 'donate' some tins and bits to him.

DGD Holly starts her teacher training on Tuesday bless her I have just texted her as she is a bit nervous .She is in a school with year six primary children. But as she has spent the past 3-4 years part-time in-between doing her degree working at her Mum's special-needs school I think she will cope ok.

She has spent most of the summer holidays doing respite care for a very stressed Mum who has 5 children under 10 one of whom is severly autistic(he was in her class at school, when she was doing her TA work) so I think she will find mainstream school a walk in the park in comparison. She will make a good teacher I think as she has bags of patience and really does connect with the children.

Had a gorgeous roast lamb dinner tonight at my youngest DDs and received a beautiful yellow rose bush as a thank you for the holiday.

Right I'm off to bed for a read Good night God Bless all here
