Good Morning all, a bright and breezy day here in north Kent. Blue skies and sunshine ,not baking hot but very pleasant all the same.Pottering day today plus a bit of baking I think.Biscuit and cake tins are empty so need refilling and DGS are still off school for a few more days.Did a bit of a small shop yesterday and kept well under my budget which i was pleased about.Used up some vouchers instead of cash :):):) so have around £47.00 odd left in my little brown food budget purse for September and nothing to buy for at least a week:):):) Did a stocktake of the cupboards and there is quite a bit to be used before I need anything really.I have decided to adapt and use before I buy more stuff in.Eldest DD arrived yesterday afternoon and has bought a lovely plaque for us to give to my cousin who we will meet up with in a few weeks time at a family reunion in Scotland. She is over from Australia and the other cousin is over from Winnipeg in Canada.DD and I are flying up to meet up with them on the 19th September(day after the referendum !!!)hope they let us in :):):)
Well time is moving on, and so must I, if I want to get some baking sorted today
Hope you all have a great day what ever you are doing
    Cheers chums JackieO xxx

    Morning all.

1of3 so glad your little ones are recovering from the gastro bug. I dunno if I was fortunate or not but when my kids were little they never all had it at the same time... it was spread out over days if not weeks. Chickenpox went on for months in my house!

Another late night for me. I was up till the early hours watching a film. Even so I left hubby watching another film after I went to bed so I guess he will lose most of his day as he will be asleep. 1.30 I finally went to bed. No wonder my sleeping routine is out of sorts.

Ive just realized, this Thursday my daughter will be going back to work and I will be having my Grandson from then on on a Thursdays. I need to check routines with her. I think he will still be in his night clothes when I have him early in the morning.

Havent got anything planned for today but that's ok.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Just had a phone-call from DS2 to ask if dgs2 & dgs3 can both come for an overnighter . Only got rid of dgs3 less than 48hrs ago duh.gif.

Apparently my DBro is taking my dgs2 on a lapeche.gif trip tomorrow - that should be fun :undecided! His Mum & Dad are both out very early to work, so he'll be getting collected from here - THEN I'll have dgs3 until DS2 finishes work after lunchtime - he's on 'early earlies'!

Did my walk and then drove it to check the distance... 2.2 miles round. Showered, breakfasted and been to the tip with bags of rubbish.

Watered my hated hostas with stuff to kill the slugs - not sure if I hate the hostas or slugs more. Can't see any point in have plants which are just awful looking.

Now going to sit outside and read my book. I will be leaving here very very early in the morning to get to work (102 miles) as decided I'd rather have another night here than sit on the road behind tourists and visitors going home! Coming up on Friday was interesting as the road was jammed solid going south all along the Loch Lomond road up to the big roundabout with birds on. Mostly camper vans and caravans - tourists going home for the start of the England school term.

Filled birds water dish and now going to fill myself with tea!

Not wishing to be outdone. I shall be having my Grandbaby every Thursday from now on all day whilst his Mummy is at work.:D

Had a busy morning setting up a weekly organic veg and fruit delivery and also bought a juicer to use for DH. The one we have was very cheap and does not produce that much juice from all the fruit etc.

Lunch was yorkies, carrots, courgettes, mange toute, roast potatoes and citrus chicken. I made sweet potato and red pepper burgers with mashed potato and veg for DH which he seemed to enjoy.

Ordered a couple of pairs of trousers a size down from M and S for everyday.

Decluttered a desk on freecycle and DH is tidying up outside office, summerhouse and garage.

Need to pop out for more fruit later as we are getting through stuff fast. DH has three different hospital appointments this week so trying to get as much done as I can before things get even busier.

    Hugs to all

    Afternoon all.

It's dd2's birthday today. Took her to get a new bike and now she's off to her friends house. She was sick last night, thought she was going to have a miserable birthday but she's fine this morning.

Managed to get 3 loads of washing done. The last is on the line now, big sure if it will dry as it's becoming a but miserable.

I'm refusing to make dinner until I get a cup of tea made for me. Think I just heard the kettle click!
Spag Bol tonight, dd2's favourite. Then birthday cake, but the birthday cake is so small I doubt any of us will get a taste. She picked it herself because she wanted I've all to herself lol.

Hope everyone is having a nice and productive day. Love and hugs to those who need them.

    How's everybody progressing today?

I had to put a fleece jacket on to go out into the garden around lunchtime to gather all those privet/beech hedge trimmings - then it got really warm out there and turned into an absolutely beautiful aftenoon th_sunsmilie.gif.

The Landlord from the flat next-door was in his garden doing some tidying up for his new tenant, so I was cheeky and asked him about the 'drying out' Lavender Flowers - he said I could take the lot :T. I've got a 'crafty lady' at the CS who'll 'do things' with them. I've even googled some recipes and come up with Lavender Shortbread / Scones / Tea Bread / Bread / 'Tea' - may give a couple of them a go next week :j.

Freezer Inventory is now completed and to say 'my-flabber-is-gasted' is an absolute understatement :o. I really MUST start using up immediately fear.gif.

For the next couple of months I have to stick to buying 'basics only' - Tea / Coffee / Milk / Sugar / Fresh Salad / Potatoes / Bread / Toilet Rolls / Laundry Liquid / Dish-wash Liquid / Bleach - and THAT'S IT!!!

P-l-e-a-s-e OS'ers - kick my a$re if I so much as 'think' about whoopsies!!!

    Evening all !

We've had a nice day,DGC were staying overnight.Brought DGS into our bed so he wouldnt wake DGD too early, but after half an hour she bounced in anyway. She usually likes looking in my jewellery box and trying things on but I persuaded her otherwise today-didnt want little un eating my earrings!

Once they'd gone we went to the new house to do some measuring up etc,& my brother came for a nosey.Discovered that the last tenants next door did a runner and filled all our bins up with misc rubbish, even the green/recycling ones so will have to put the contents into the skip arriving tomorrow

Once we got home we went to a charity football match down the road,I took a fleece but it was so hot.It was great fun and I got another chance to see DGD as she went with her Mummy and other Nana.

So not much OS going on today, but the previous owner of the house left a lot of cleaning materials under the sink, all decent stuff so not a bad hoard:D

I am starting to look after DGS on Tuesdays from now on when his Mummy starts back at work-looks like there are a few of us :D

Have a good evening all x
