  • That's a fab bargain mrs-moneypenny - but pleased I'm not having to report that many INs! :p

I have a couple of UUs, both from my PP:

22/232. Toni & Guy Iron-It Heat Defence Spray 50ml - a gift and a stash relic, was fine but WNB as didn't wow me. I have a Percy & Reed No Oil Oil which I might replace this with as my leave-in treatment/styling product - looking forward to using this as I know a few of you rave about it!

23/233. Aussie Aussome Volume 2in1 Shampoo & Conditioner 300ml - another gift, and I like this - nice smell and leaves my hair feeling soft and clean - but WNB for two reasons: I prefer separate S&Cs, and ended up using a separate conditoner with this anyway; and I'm trying to avoid repurchases where I know the brand isn't cruelty-free.

maddiemay pleased to hear you enjoyed York, it's one of my fave cities in the UK and I love shopping there.

    Happy weekend everyone!

asked how much the toileteries were and she said i could have the whole lot including the case for £1 !!!!!!! it would be rude not to at that price.
Wowsers, for £1 I certainly wouldn't have walked on by! ;)

Some exciting news chez Baba.....I had two full sized use ups in one shower this morning, both long haul jobs from separate Project Pan lists! :j I couldn't wait to declare it on here as OH didn't really share my unmitigated joy. :D

The 250ml unknown branded conditioner from a product trial last year has gone. It was OK - nothing special but did the job and smelt nice. I have another slightly different variant from the same product trial in the stash. My other use up is from my very first Project Pan list posted at the end of November last year - 150ml Body Shop Cinnamon & Nutmeg Exfoliating Body Wash. This is a real stash relic which must be at least 8 years old. I have only been using it about once a week since December so it's lasted a while. :rotfl: I love the smell of it and it lathers well, but it isn't particularly scrubby and I didn't notice much difference in the texture of my skin after using it. Unfortunately I have another three of these left in the stash that I bought in a Body Shop clearance sale. :o

I'm still in the throes of a whopping breakout too, and have been using these pads for a week. I *think* AF could be on her way but if I get hormonal spots it tends to be just after she's arrived rather than before. Hmmm

I think it's hormonal because they're those horrible under the skin bumps. I usually get them around this time but there appear to be more of them this month than usual. My skin should be fine with the AHA's because I use an AHA/BHA cream every other night (unless it's too much for my skin?) Will use up the tub and see what happens.

Oh the Yacht club looks amazing (think we're going to try and eat in the steakhouse one night). We're going next October / November for part of our honeymoon. Only staying a week in Port Orleans Riverside before jetting off to New York for a few days. We've also got DDP and discount tickets (plus a gift card) in our package. I really want to eat at Be our Guest and do the Chef Mickey breakfast. Have you decided where you're eating yet?

I think we may be eating in the Steak House our first evening as it is our Wedding Anniversary (will be 23 years then). I too want to eat at Be Our Guest (want to try the "Gray Stuff"). Did you know that if you eat there in the evening you get an ADR but if you eat at lunch you can get a Fastpass+ (it's details like this that are driving me spare!!). The Disney spiel seems to be that if you don't book something you either won't get in or will wait a gazillion years for a table. Have eaten at Chef Mickey before (stayed at The Contemporary previously) and it's very noisy. I think we're going to try the Character dine at our hotel. I've done Character dining at The Garden Grill at Epcot (they don't do this anymore) and The Crystal Palace at MK which is my fave. It also depends on which Characters you want to see as the Chef Mickey and Yacht & Beach ones are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy and the one at MK is Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tiger and Piglet. I know we are going to try and book the more expensive restaurants that we have never dined at before and we're also planning to wander and eat our way around the Food & Wine Festival.

I will confess all when I get home as I cannot possibly open the bags in front of OH, although I told him most of what I bought he will not have listened:rotfl:

Ooh am excited for you. Isn't the Yorkshire Soap Company store amazing?? Did they have Halloween scented soaps?

I hope you had a good break maddiemay. :)

Despite using it sparingly, I've nearly finished my small tub of Gorgeous by Gok Rich Moisturising Body Butter. It's become my holy grail (along with the Sanctuary's Mande Lular Body Souffle) so I'm getting anxious at the thought of not having more and have been naughtily browsing eBay. I've managed to resist so far.......

Maybe you should try and hold out until the January sales. I've picked up Gok items at this time and had plenty of choice. I'm not a fan of the range myself. Too many heady fragrances for my liking.

I am going to be strong for now - I have so many other moisturisers to use up first and I'm not exactly religious in applying them! :o Maybe I'll treat myself in the sales if my stash starts to reduce in size. :)

I've just blinged up my manicure with OPI Gold Shatter. :D

I'm also sorting through some sachets to compile another Project Pan list as I have so many and they are easier to use up than full sized items. I finally relented this afternoon and put my empty Charles Worthington mini bottle in the recycling. :(

ETA Asset - I'm sorry about your hair! Hopefully it will dry lighter than it looks at the moment? Can you quickly wash the dye out (I think that people use Head and Shoulders to make it work quickly?) I keep thinking that I'd like to dye my hair and then I chicken out (mine is waist length so I can't even begin to imagine growing the dye out...)

Thank you. I didn't know H&S could wash it out. It is supposed to be permanent :( ideally a mid to light brown, not mahogany like it's came out like
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

H&S does gently take the color out. It's why people with colored hair should avoid it.

    One UU.

    19/09/14

UU – YSL – Top Secrets Eye Make-up Remover *

That was a tiny 8ml bottle that I think came in a set with a mascara. It was lovely but I really didn't have enough to get a proper feel for it. WBA if on offer but as it is I'm enjoying my Nivea stuff.
New to this money saving lark. Any tips greatly received.

How could it have been so wrong? :( I wonder if it was mis-labelled as you noticed that it was darker as you applied it? Oh dear. :( I hope that it fades soon or that you grow to like it...

(I'm glad that Pleut confirmed the H&S thing. I think the idea is to do several washes in a row if you want to fade the colour.)

    Mrs M-P - that was a fantastic bargain! I wouldn't have said no for £1 either :)

maddiemay - I'm looking forward to reading about what you bought in York :)

Dolly - I forgot to say that I thought I'd left long enough between painting my nails and having a bath. It was about 6 hours later! I'm really happy that my Orly Bonder base coat arrived today :rotfl:

    I have an almost UU

Vichy Normaderm Night (50ml) - the very last bit of this had split. I used it for a few nights but I've decided to bin the last bit as it was more liquid than anything else  WBA as it's great at gently resurfacing my skin but I have lots of other moisturisers to use before I will re-buy it.

    INs

Orly Bonder - hopefully the solution to my NV woes :j
Macadamia Healing Oil Spray (125ml) - possibly my HG hair oil and a bargain price (£6 something)
Orly Slip It Off NV remover (to replace my Bourjois one that has just finished)
  • Too many ins this week and not enough UUs!

UU: Guilty Secret EDT from Superdrug - WIBA? No. Pleasant enough peachy fragrance, good for every day use but the fragrance does not last enough once you spray it.

    Ins:

TBS - "Dark" BB cream. This may be a GA or a return to store as it far too light for me.

TBS Chocomanica Soap - Only purchased this to meet the minimum order for free delivery.

TBS Moisture Vit E cream - Free gift with purchase

    Birchbox ins:

    Agave heating oil treatment
    Benefit It's Potent Eye cream
    Korres Citrus Body milk
    Modelco lip lacquer in "Viva"
    Beauty Blend make up sponge
