Whoa! Hold on one cotton pickin' moment! They've produced a letter dated 7th July 2014 relating to an (undisclosed) agreement dated 1st January 2014, and yet it appears that APCOA has been infesting this site since 1998!

This isn't just about whether APCOA has authority now, it's about whether APCOA had authority throughout the entire period it has been obtaining keeper details from DVLA. An historic breach of the DPA is still a breach!

Another thought I've just had is, if there was a contract/agreement on the 1 Jan 14, why would they need this letter dated 7 Jul 14?

Probably because the 1st Jan agreement didn't give them debt collection rights? ;)

Wow, that was an interesting meeting with MP.

To say I'm surprised is an understatement. Off to the hospital now to see the wife, will give a full update later.

So went and seen MP and was called forward. Walked into the room and before I said anything, he said this is rather unusual, I owe you an apology, which kinda threw me. He said that he had recently employed a new researcher, who had been looking at my case for him. He said that that does not excuse the replies I received and that he should have provided better supervision. But he has since reviewed the points I have raised and he fully agrees with me and for that he apologised, which was nice.

I only had 15 minutes with him so it was a bit rushed. On Sunday I was hoping to put everything I had into an email for and the points I wanted to discuss, however the wife was taken back into hospital, so I didn't manage this and this week at work prior to Christmas leave has been manic, so not had chance since.

First of all we discussed the Equality Act and making reasonable adjustment and what exactly this meant. I explained that I believed that reasonable adjustment was to the individual and just the provision of just a few extra disabled bays. Which again, he agreed with.

We then discussed penalties and we agreed that they are not allowed, only GPEOL. And the fact that the PPC's claim their charges are based on council charges, however councils have their penalties backed by law.

Briefly discussed the BPA being a private members club and not the authority on parking that they like to portray. I mentioned that the BPA got registered keepers include in POFA by lies of freeing up court time, but it has had the complete opposite effect.

He agreed that the PPC industry need to be looked at closer and indeed even said that it warranted a debate in the chamber.

Like I said it was all a bit rushed, but he said he was very impressed with my understanding of the laws and that I should consider a career in law. :rotfl:I need to thank you guy and gals, as I have got most of my knowledge from you.

He also wants to meet up in the New Year to discuss away head.

I was very impressed that he had the humility to admit he was wrong, he seemed very receptive and keen to help bring the PPC's under control.

Also had a reply from the hospital CEO:
Further to your email of 11th December 2014 and previous correspondence with my colleagues, I am sorry that you feel unhappy with the responses thus far and for the delays in responding to both the complaint and the Freedom of Information (FOI) request. However, the Trust was looking into the issues and information to ensure a transparent and comprehensive response was provided which took a little longer than the timeline.
I have met with my senior team and I am assured that you have received the complaint response and the FOI response will be sent to you tomorrow.
Having reviewed the correspondence and the information that will inform the FOI response, I now consider the matter closed.

He is going to be extremely disappointed as I don't consider the matter closed in the slightest. It will also be interesting to see what they send me tomorrow. I'm expecting the novations and the GPEOL.
