I have received a response from POPLA to my email this morning:
Thank you for your email below.

I can confirm that no evidence has been received from the operator who issued the PCN.

I have attached this email to you case file. The other issues you have raised will be considered by the assessor when your appeal is heard.

Kind regards,

Can you FOI an MP? Or are they exempt due to parliamentary privilege?

You can send a Subject Access Request to your MP instead, it will cost a max of £10.

I'm not sure you can SAR individuals, unless MPs come under the same category as companies or other similar bodies.

Also had a reply from my MP. How clueless...
I have to exercise my own judgement. I want to help but cannot see that you have a case. The car was wrongly parked!
I will get my researcher to look into the legislative point you have raised.
I have not spoken to anyone about your case, just used the internet and my own knowledge

Send him a link to this thread. He night find some useful information on the interwebular and also start to realise the depth of feeling and the size of the problem.

Some of the posters on the Parking Ticket forum might even be his constituents.

I have already sent him links to this board and also pepipoo. Some people just can't see the wood for the trees.

I think he needs a better researcher though and to improve his own knowledge. Sounds like he has swallowed the BPA handbook.

Once I get my POPLA result, I might arrange an appointment for one his surgeries and have a face-to-face discussion with him and try to educate him.
