I can't overstate how much I'm enjoying my M&S one, so pleased I bought it.

I've been naughty as I bought a few different beauty ones (YouBeauty, Liberty, Look Fantastic) and I have them as my Christmas presents which means I get to open them all in one go on Christmas Day. I did it last year and it was so much better than opening them a door at a time!

I've bought a number of advents this year and impressions so far

Best - You Beauty Discovery as different products and full size.

Worst - Clarins as tiny samples you'd get free at make-up counter ...and I mean TINY (3ml tube sort of thing).

L'Occitane also been disappointing as now up to 3 handcream and two of the day's weren't even beauty products but 5 gift tags and a tiny felt bow

M&S and Look Fantastic both been good and would get again.

    Non-beauty
Megablok Minions is cute and daughter likes it
Nutcracker Meri Meri jewellery one ok - not the best quality but for a little girl aged 5plus it's nice
Tinc - 24 treats of Christmas isn't great and won't be buying again. 2 pens so far and treats keep falling through the back of the box.

Not opened the Fortune Cookie Soap countdown as that starts on the 14th but looks good as individually wrapped presents and the last day is a t-shirt.

I ended up with a yankee candle one this year, and am not impressed with it. The same 6 scents repeat themselves, and I know they're only tealights, but they've got very poor scents, you can hardly smell anything at all. Unless that's just me not being used to tealights anymore and used to the tarts which throw a much stronger scent?
I agree about the yankee candle one! I bought it myself last year & wasn't impressed, so didn't bother this year. I had one bought as a birthday present & it hasn't improved at all, so disappointing .

Me too!! I think it's the best one I've had so far, so pleased with it. The packaging is brilliant too, & reusable.

I'm thinking of writing and complaining. I can't even be bothered to open the doors anymore. I'm probably just sulking that I didn't getan M&S one! :p

I can understand what you're saying about the Yankee one. I just put my candle out tonight with a tong type snuffer, loads of burn left in it, but the snuffer lifted out the wick, very easily. Don't know how they have such a good reputation!
The only thing I can suggest for M&S next year, is to order just after midnight, cos I managed fairly easily, as it hadn't got busy at that point. It's a definite for me next year, again

Yeah, I left it to late and dithered about deciding what to order and then it was too late. I should have know they'd have sold out quickly!

Yankee candles in general I don't buy anymore. I've found a better and cheaper alternative. Village candles. They look exactly like yankee, are slightly bigger I think, and are cheaper too and the smells on them are so strong!
