Can someone tell me how to multi-quote. I can click the multiquote buttons to my hearts content... but can I find a way to post the blimmin things?!?! I must be getting old...
Fmess: My money mainly comes from cashback like Quidco... £10 to watch movies free for a month. I got my mystery shopping cheque in £57.15 and a refund from a rubbish company who really annoyed me £52.19, on top of the £200ish credit on my *new* account with them. I am also selling bits and bobs
Regarding the mattress: could you maybe purchase a mattress topper from a 'direct' like Mr T or Mr A? They are quite cheap! In the past when I had an uncomfy mattress with a bizarre set of springs, I wrapped a 7.5 tog kingsize duvet around it (just a basics one that I had spare), underneath my fitted sheet. The only problem then was getting out of bed in the morning as it was SO comfortable. If you can try something like that and avoid it for a couple of months then try. If not, try not to feel too bad. Mattresses have a huge impact on your health and wellbeing!
Applemuncher We are indeed practically neighbours! However blueberry muffins soaked in vinegar, plague style, are not quite as appealing for some reason... :rotfl:
Keep going everyone. I need to join next month. I am a bad lilty. More shopping. I have practically reached my entire budget for the last month already. And 1 SFD to my name...:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o I'm off to bed to stop me spending any more! xxxxx

Hi All,
Missed my check in yesterday but I am claiming a SFD AS THE ONLY SPEND WAS 50p on 5 donuts that I picked up when OH got some beer for the weekend. The beer comes out of his budget so not a spend day for me and as I gave him a brand match voucher for £3.77 I think I can claim it as no physical money changed hands.
Small spend of £2 today for deodorant in £Land.
Off for a very early night as I was up most of last night with tummy problems. My own fault for having a really unhealthy meal a I couldn't't be bothered to cook
Tomorrow will be a SFD as I have no plans to go anywhere.

Hi gang
Today ended up being a spend day in the endPopped into Halford$ to get my brakes tightened and was charged £6 per brake! Necessary spend for safety reasons which I also resent because they were fine until my bike accident
Shouldve claimed from the drivers insurance really, I dont see why I should be out of pocket for the bicycle repairs when it wasnt my fault!
Had a lovely ride around on my electric bike, it never fails to lift my spirits :A I was then bought a cuppa and cake by my friend which was a treat since our JL vouchers have now been used up!
Ooh Fmess thats a toughie, I would be a right grumpy mare if springs were affecting my sleep!I guess it depends on how bad the springs are poking through and how well you can improvise. Mothernerd and lilt's suggestions make for a great short term remedy to tide you over for a while without adding to your card
Lilt I have no idea how to multiquote either, being a serial technophobe! Maybe that'll be my 'learn a new skill' for the month
Going to chillax for the evening, hope you all have good ones

fmess try freecycle/freegle too -we got a nearly new mattress for dd, which thry also delivered!
lilt - I'd forgotten about the vinegar! Would be useful as limescale remover...!
CEW - hope your tummy settles.
We have had a lovely day. Spendy, but measured spends. Then dd came off her scooter and bashed ner lip and tooth, poor thing. And she has had a bizarre outbreak of eczema across her mid-back and side, that is really hurting her. At least she has gone to sleep early - again! For those of you whose kiddies drop off at 7ish, I salute you. Anytime before 9.30 is considered early here!
So, I am grateful for the bogof on coconut oil, for finding me some slippers, for bumping into wonderful friend in the d1sney store, for the benefits of a wet flanmel on a bleeding mouth, for dh's hoodie.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Multi quotes for each message you want to quote, click on the pink and orange speech bubbles (I think you are limited to 3). A white tick will appear on the speech bubbles when you do this. When you have done the final message you want to quote, click on the 'quote' button.
It will set you up in advanced with the messages you have selected - you can edit out the parts you don't want but be careful to leave thein at the beginning and end of each quote (or go running into DS3 and say make it undo I need the quote thing). Put the comments you want to make in, then press submit (crossing your fingers and twisting your tongue at the same time).

Yay to no studying:j:j
Our dog decided to throw up all night and we had very little sleep, he is ancient and sleeps under the chair in out bedroom, and he gets a jippy tummy sometimes.
Sympathy for poorly doggy - much of the need for replacement laminate here is down to the last 3 years of Taz cat's life - I scrubbed the mess from the carpets, no smell but there were indelible black spots here and there.
apple muncher they do make adult size space hoppers, you know.
PheoniX - if it doesn't feel right, it wasn't meant to be (something even better will come along)
How are all my poorly turtles tonight, we seem to have hit middle of the month early. I have spent money (not listed as it wasn't food and will break my budget if I put it in the food budget).
The plan was to re-paint the skirting boards in the front room. Couldn't find the correct paint can (I have so many:eek::(). Finally found it - in a laundry basket in my room (told DS3 to move things out of the bathroom and he put most of them in my room - they don't belong in the bathroom so I haven't put them back). Only half an inch of paint left - may be enough but ideally needs to be finished by 9am tomorrow to ensure it is dry before the laminate man starts (9am Monday).
So off to town to buy another can (other bits will need completing/re-doing) and decided to look for the spray mr builder recommended for cleaning the bathroom tiles (in b and m). Couldn't find the one he mentioned but bought 2 more of the ones I have used before for £1 each. Also found air fresheners/ de-odourisers (to rid small house of DS2's filthy smoking habit) including one I like (neutral one) but no anti-tobacco ones. So spent £15.48.
Then went to get the paint. Bag was already heavy but saw a display of mum' favourite toiletries so detoured to see what was on offer in another store. Bought the paint - may need more for a second room but will see how long it takes to do the skirtings. My new to me phone is now working so I phoned for a taxi to pick me up where I was and bring me home (very tired and a bit worried about going past the sandwich shops and takeaways). Made tea with one of my ys bargains from the other day (42p). Paint (small gloss) was £12.95.
Need to crack on as there is still a lot of shuffling stuff around to do tomorrow.Feeling like a bad leader. Will paint and feel better.
Today I am grateful for neutral de-odourisers, ys bargains (wasn't great but glad to have the chance to try it) and that I don't feel ill ( a bit down but not out). Will do better. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hello all sfd had been had as dd3 paid whilst we were out, well she does like to treat me every so often!
We went to her small towns food fair, it was held all over the town with many shops offering food, drink etc as well as all the stalls and it was all soooo yummy. We ended up in a small church having coffee and paid £3 for a variety of puddings from their pudding club, how great was that and everything was delicious.
So a lovely afternoon was had and even dgds enjoyed it as well.
Anyway on my way to bed, I just have tomorrow to work and then I'm off but have to be there for 6am.

Evening all! I feel a lot more human today, no painkillers or sneezes - cold appears to have gone as quickly as it arrived (bizarre). Definitely was jaded though!
It was a spendy day today, and on a big treat - I have nice shiny gel finish nails now. Hoping these will help me feel / be smart throughout several big work events over the next few weeks...the biggest being that I am hosting a conference for about 80 external people on Friday. Very out of my comfort zone! Lovely lady juggled the bill, taking a tenner off. It was great to talk with her too - usually I find the making conversation really difficult for things like that, but we found we had a lot in common once we started talking about ways we were trying to save money! This was covered by cash from our paying guest last weekas the waterpark trip didn't happen I moved the cash back from DD's treats to mine!! She and I are both a bit under the weather and so we also rented a movie via amazon - first time I have done this. I have Prime memership trial and you get a lot of free movies to stream. We curled up in front of mission impossible this afternoon!
Got ahead pf myself with the ironing whilst movie watching too (horay) and all our meals were odds and ends leftovers. I have really tried over last week to stretch meals for extra mouths, and to make best use of any free fresh food we are offered. I have done one of my learn something plans, and made 4 gleaming ruby coloured jars of raspberry (and a hint of blackberry) jam. It was super easy, and tastes lovely!! I feel like a proper squirrel, lining my cupboard with sweet things for the winter, and taking any offerings that there are. Yesterday my boss bought lunch in for the team and offered me the end of the salad when we were clearing away. That made a lovely dinner for me tonight! I'm definitely not too proud to accept free leftovers!
Been thinking of the clothes challenge. Cleared out my wardrobe just before the rules were announced, but I will be going through it again! My DM helped me mend a few things that needed doing to extend their life last week. I had a lovely but now holey in a few places white stuff long top that I was desperate for help mending..but it was too far gone, even for her expert eye. It is now a PJ top instead. I have two clothing tips I think..the first is to stash any clothes you are keeping for decorating away with your dustsheets etc - since mine moved out to a sealed bag in the shed, I know exactly where they are if I need something scruffy, but I dont have them clogging up my wardrobe. Secondly, I'm lucky enough to be able to share clothes with my cousin (started when we were about 16, still going on now in our mid 30's). We are a slightly different shape so it doesn't work for everything, but we decided at the point of applying for our first jobs that we probably only needed one smart jacket between us, and its spiralled from there... posh winter coats, accessories, warmer layers/cardigans in different shades, a 'funeral' outfit, ballgown etc we have bought together, split the cost, and chosen styles/colours that looked ok on both of us. I also inherit a lot of clothes she doesn't want which are sometimes baggy on me but good for hanging around at home. At the moment though, nothing is remotely baggy on me, and she has lent me some work trousers etc to tide me over until I lose a little of the weight I accumulated whilst ill! I'm not too proud to accept clothing donations either, and feel genuinely grateful when people offer things. I've had hand me downs from my mother-in-law and other relatives too. Not all stuff I would choose to wear, but it has often got me through difficult patches. My DD is nearly 13 and most of the items I bought in my wardrobe pre-date her. Which is a bit of a problem as it means I still frequently look like a bit of a student! (no offence to students, or recent students!)

Thanks mothernerd, the miniature moohound hound is much better today and charging about like a puppy.
He had his yearly check up at the vets last month and he is in good shape for his years.
Our carpets stayed intact the other night, it was a case of leaping out of bed grabbing the retching dog and sprinting with him then holding him over the toilet, he only weights 3.5kgs. It was a bit like dachshund relay sprinting.ISA £1675MiniMoohound savings £3685.86 :T Plus £3800 CTF
