That's £300 between the two of us. I can easily spend £200 a night myself in Glasgow so I don't think I'll have too much trouble spending that in a day in germany.

Also, I'm here for money advice. Look at the domain name. It is not frugaljerks.com

£300 x 5 = £1500. Not £2,400, so you don't need an extra thousand. Learn to add up. There is some money advice for you!

    And the domain is moneysavingexpert.com.

Frugal yes, but jerks no. :)

I believe you've mixed up 'need' with 'want' in your thread title. If you 'need' the money then you'll 'need' to talk to a loan company with a horrible interest rate

Maybe you could have a holiday that doesn't involve getting plastered?

(A bottle of spirits before going out? Sheesh)
  • Just totalled up what I'm owed in + wages for the next 3 weeks - bills and I should have £1700 or so + £500 from my girllfriend so £2.3k total. I'll buy holiday clothes on the Barclay Card and pay it off when I come back (since it's 0%). I have a spare £100 overdraft I can use in emergencies.

Thanks to the (few) people who gave actual advise on the best way to get money rather than criticising how I spend it.

I have to agree with others on here. This should have been thought about 6-12 months ago, and if you wanted to blow £2000 spending money, £200 p/m should have been saved starting last November.

The fact you are already maxed on your overdraft show you are currently spending everything you earn (and more), so taking out borrowing is not a good idea.

If you cant spend moderately on your holiday with the money you already have saved, I would suggest cancelling the trip and only book holidays you can afford.
  • I just found your last holiday snap below :-

Maybe posting about sinking a bottle of whiskey in one go wasnt really relevant to the thread and as such some replies you got were in direct response to the stuff you posted yourself

The saying you cut your coat according to your cloth and a fool and his money are easy parted comes to mind.

I live not far from Glasgow, few people I know would spend £200 on a night out, I probably wouldn't spend that in a month on socialising.

I dont have one penny of debt (excluding my overdraft). Just trying to get some interest free credit because I've paid out a few grand in unexpected bills in the past few months. Plus I should really start building credit (as I buy everything with cash and have 0 credit)

Not sure how you manage - you must still live with your mum!

How I manage with what? Paying cash?

    I moved out when I was 19 (~6yrs ago)
