Paying for Repairs to another car

TBH if someone hit my car, wanted to pay for the repairs privately, then faffed about regarding paying I would say **** it, we'll go through insurance then and I'll have a hire car while mine is being repaired. I'd also claim an amount for the extra my insurance is going to cost in the future.0

Thanks all for your help. I decided to pay him as I contacted one of the garages I recommended who confirmed the amount the driver said initially which was higher than the £250.
Considering the incident took place on Tuesday and I paid him on Thursday I would think that's a quicker turnaround then the insurance company.0 -

I think he'd have probably preferred for you not to have hit him in the first place.... so I don't think you should be acting like you've done him a favour!:hello:0 -
I wonder how many insurance companies read the motoring thread here in MSE.
They would have a field day reading all the stories of people who...........uhermmmm...........have not declared any minor accidents:eek:"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0
