Thanks CherryFudge, I had a look at the site - thanks for the tip:)
I have put together a little collection of pics on pinterest for her so we'll see where we go :)
I'm going down to see her during the week.

Its been a lovely weekend, pottering in the garden, doing bits and pieces of tidying around the house, cleared another couple of drawers, Lots of washing all dried outside. No paid work done, will catch up on that during the week.

Also went for a lovely walk at local NT place with DD - ended up chatting to a lovely old couple who had come up from London for a day out who were resting on a bench on the way out. It was so funny watching them interact with each other - obviously - we talked about the USA taking everything over and leaving us with nothing, Georgette Heyer and historical romances, how the world has changed and kids just want to get drunk, how discipline was paramount, and how everyone looked after each other in the good old days :) Gap years and world travel, and a friend of theirs who is an eternal student who has dozens of degrees and has done everything there is to do. Both real characters:rotfl:

Took some beautiful pictures of everything coming into bloom both at the NT place and in the garden. Feeling some peace.

Should spend a full day working tomorrow If I can, have been quite lax last few days.

Early night now, aiming for an early start.

    1) Productive day today for SE work, good progress made.
    2) Also sent 2 overdue invoices.
    3) Updated I & E and sent off to a couple of creditors.
    4) FINALLY managed to cancel Virg"n sim card - they make it impossible - have paid £8/month for nothing since December as couldn't get through security (forgotten username/pw as had never used, tried numerous times to reset but it wouldn't recognise my email (even though I get bills on it!?!) = Biggest achievement of the day!

Went to see Mum yesterday and stayed overnight. We did a few jobs, ( trip to tip, some stuff to charity shop, an account changed from joint to her sole name, a little grocery shop etc) and she liked the wool I bought and I showed her loads of pics on pinterest for ideas. She seemed quite keen at first but was feeling a bit down, (back hurting, politics/gossip where she volunteers), so we took it easy. Came back today, more catching up to do with work, need to get on top before next week when am back to part time jobs pretty much full time for next couple of months.

Feeling quite exhausted from drive back , plus hardly slept last night, so haven't been very productive this afternoon :(
Temp dropped by 15 degrees , feeling the need to put on heating:(
We have spent £500 :eek:more than last year on heating - I think I have had it on much more as have really felt the cold even though it has not really been a particularly bad winter. Will need to make a top up payment or DD will need to go up to £200/month for oil:eek:

No real plans for Easter weekend, will take DS/DD to see Mum Sunday/Monday as then they will be into exams/finals so will be pretty busy until end June.

    Have a lovely long weekend,

    Hi NOA

Just popping in to say hello. I'm glad you have both the children around for the weekend. It will be nice for your Mum to see them.

I wondered if the reason you had felt the cold more was sleeping worse? That always makes me feel cold. Hope the warmer weather will help you.

    Have a good evening.

Thank You Bob, Brizzle and Verbatim:)
It will be nice to take kids down to see Mum. I have been by myself most of the time. I think part of the time they have avoided going with me because it feels different now. I haven't pushed it.

Re cold/sleep Bob, you are probably right, being tired always makes me feel colder, but I have noticed my hands are now always icily cold. I also haven't been as frugal with the heating as being warmer helps the RA aches and pains - that makes me sound really old:rotfl:

It's lovely again today, will do some SE work, then more admin for mum, hopefully some time in garden later. House is a mess as I started lots of spring cleaning jobs and didn't finish any of them:(

Also need to go out and get a wedding card/gift vouchers and post them recorder delivery today - the wedding is on Saturday so I have left it rather late :( quite possible it may not get there in time:(

    Must get on with things...

    Good Morning Noah,

I can totally relate to the cold hands.. I am sitting here typing and mine are freezing but like you I am trying to resist heating up the house so just keep making tea..!!! My house is always cold without heating, a blessing in the summer but not for the spring when we want to have the heating off.. did give in last night and put it on for an hour...

Hope you have a lovely Easter with your children and your mum, and hope you get some r & r time for you..

    Much Love Puzz. x

    Thanks Puzz :)
We had a nice time, quite, but family together. Heating....yes Ive had it on everyday for and hour or two:o what a wimp I am:( read something recently about keeping wrists warm would help - need to sort out some fingerless gloves.....

DS and DD now both quite stressed, little moments of panicky flutters escaping through their outwardly calm appearances. Probably need to not run off to Mum's every week and be at home for DS these next few weeks.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I was back at part time job today :(

Kitted out DS at Sp*orts Drekkt today - new rugby boots, new sports bag and a rugby ball £70:eek:

BAck to school runs tomorrow, :( Best get an early night ....

I know its a major area savings can be made but to be honest I just hate being cold and it makes me feel miserable and down so yes I did put the heating on at the weekend.... and you know what... I felt snug and happy! I would rather give up other things personally!
Maybe turn off radiators in other rooms now and just heat main room you use and accept it will be chillier in other areas of the house?
