Hi Dundeedoll, I just pm'd you and should have read the date on your original thread - sorry. sorry also if you have alsready done what I suggested....

Congratulations on the overpayment. Have you got your current payments sorted out yet?

Thanks for your pm. I did get my mp involved back then and although it didn't help with the 'overpayment' it did help me to get paid manual tax credits.
I do believe that 5 years is a totally unreasonable time to take to investigate the 'overpayment' tho'.

we to can join the nightmare....we had been waiting 12 weeks so far for our wtc/ctc, phoned yesterday to say will still be at least another 3 weeks before they even deal with it,they keep droning on that it will be backdated,( that statement going to feed my kids this week) yet the only letters i get is saying i owe them money when they havent even paid us anything yet,
we had to resort to taking a loan out so we dont lose our home,i so wish we were in the position to tell them to shove it where the sun dont shine....
3 years is beyond taking the mick....
its that messed up its beyond the help of the Jeremy Kyle show :)

Poor poor you! I do know how horrible it all is. Ended up a skeletal nervous wreck (see my posts on this thread page 1) and to live with that constant worry for 5 years (from April 2004 - April 2009) was horrendous. Still wont trust them tho'..............

I put on weight when stressed - too much biscuit eating when Im worked up at 2 in the morning.

5 years is way too long, and I agree - I will never trust them in the slightest, and will in future check all their calculations very closely!

Our 'overpayment' still isnt sorted - their paperwork hant been retrieved from store to see whether I sent my paperwork back to them on time....

Really feel for you and hope you get it sorted. Trouble is that it just seems like you're banging your head against a brick wall and they have all the power.
