    Happy birthday to mr dg.

Moorhen, what an awful thing to happen to your friend. That's the equivalent to trying to steal a child imo. My dogs are part of the family and worthy, care and love them nearly as much as my children.

I took 3 dogs and dd2 to the forest today, we took a selfie in the car, me and dd in front, springer in the back seat and the other 2 on the boot. It's one of the funniest photos I have taken as all the dogs are looking at the camera. Mums dog is a little unsettled, he hasn't eaten and is looking to go home.

Did a mini shop on asda and tackled the mountain of ironing. I've had to sit now as my tummy has got sore. Need to make dinner soon.

The animal sanctuary got back to me and I'm going there tomorrow to have a chat and a look around. Dd's are very excited to see the dogs and cats. I'm quite excited.

Just popped back to say RosyRed I hope your having a very happy birthday.

Elona, thinking of you and your husband.

Julia good news about your husband going back to work. So pleased for him.

Went to the Estee Lauder counter in Debenhams this afternoon to exchange a foundation. Seems like my usual foundation doesn't suit my skin type any more. Fortunately they let me exchange it for something more suitable which has saved me having to buy another one.

An evening in front of the telly I think for me. I hope I don't fall asleep again like I did yesterday.

    Have a good evening all.

Happy Birthday Rosyred, hope you are enjoying your day.
Happy Birthday to Mr DG too, very special birthday for you.
    Thinking of you Elona.
Good news re OH juliap, sounds like his work are a good bunch.

Lovely day here again, washing dried on the line. Just made jamaican bean soup, very nice but put thyme in as the recipe said this time (forgot last time) but didn't like it so much - made a huge pan full too!

Trying to sort out money this afternoon, think I will change banks, spent half an hour on the phone to mine yesterday and they still couldn't answer my question.

Looking forward to Bake off, will have to catch up with Hotel India, that looks really good too.

Have a good evening. Take care. XX

Moorhen how awful for your friend

We have had a nice dry day today it started to rain at around 6pm but that was ok.

We went out foraging again me on my scooter and DH on his legs, we took one of my walking sticks so that he could use it to get to the berries, but a lot of the blackberries are not ready we got some but we also got some hawthorns, rose hips and sloes, a few beech nuts and we picked up some wild oats and wheat gleanings from the edge of a field.

Got another two pounds of runner beans, 2 corn cobs, 2 courgettes and some mini strawberries and four pears from the garden today so I had a lot of preperation to do this afternoon  some has been frozen and I will make some rose hip syrup, a couple of small bottles of sloe gin for Christmas presents and hawthorn jelly tomorrow.
We are going again next week and I will make some apple and blackberry jam and blackberry chutney :D

I love this time of year.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Elona- my best thoughts for you all tomorrow,

Well I've had an interesting night. DD2 showed me a photo that dd1 posted of her and her friend out at 4 in the morning. Txted the mums friend, told her I wasn't happy and went to pick up dd1. The poor mum didn't even realise what had happened. I don't feel angry at her at all, just dd1 and her friend for sneaking out. They're only 12, silly girls. Dd1 has had a stern talking too, 'what were you thinking?' ' do you realise the dangers?' etc etc. She's lost all internet access until schools starts again. Is this the start of the teenage troubles? What next? I dread to think.
