Just been nosey but which pet one are you all ordering the pull along one or stand up one?. Can't see either at £62 with discount code (can see £72), really tempted as mine is ready for hoover heaven!:A:rotfl:xx0

Thanks I ordered one, my dyson has been needing to be replaced for ages but I never found a decent one in this price range. I just hope this is ok, I can't afford to waste that amount of money!
I went for the £72 one, the main reason I got this was I have very steep stairs and I always struggle with where to put the hoover when cleaning them. I have never seen this system before where you can take a bit off and carry it around, it will be perfect for the stairs.
Does anyone know the rules regarding the higher wattage ones, Is it a retailer can't sell them after a certain date or the manufacturer has to stop producing them after a certain date. If its they can't be sold then surely we will see loads of cheap vacuums in shops soon?0 -

Hi Furny, the pet with with 10% discount is the £62 one I believe people are referring too (it is taking £7.00 discount from the £69.99 price).
I am glad this has helped so many people, I know I could never have afforded to pay £269.99 for a vacuum cleaner and Bissell are fab.0 -

DH was listening to a debate on Radio 2 the other day regarding this and you can own a vacuum over 1600w but once the regulations change you will no longer be able to purchase one. In 2 or 3 years time (can't remember which, they are reducing the wattage again to 900  )
New regulations come in on the 1 September 20140 -
Just this minute had an email saying my vacuum has been despatched. I never had an actual confirmation email of the order (and stupidly forgot to note the order number from the screen) but it looks like it's all fine

That explains the fantastic deal we have just all got, but if we are only a few days from being able to purchase a high wattage one, I don't understand why there are not great deals all over the place.0 -

I am guessing that Bissell can afford to sell them a lot cheaper as they only had to pay unit price for them but other retailers will have had to pay the unit cost plus purchase price from Bissell or other vacuum manufacturers. I did look around at a few before these came back in stock but didn't find anything with such great savings.0 -

Maybe but they wont get anything for them if they dont sell them before 1st September as they wont be able to sell them at all after that!
There are probably not many left, the manufactures would have know about the change for ages so maybe stopped supplying higher watts to retailer months ago. I looked on argos and it appears that the wattage is no longer shown, just air watts (whatever that is!)0 -
Just got a Bissell PowerTrak Dual Cyclonic Pet vacuum cleaner from Home Bargains.
Not exactly the same as the ones on the Bissell site but similar. Cost £40 and it worked fine when we tried it out this morning.
2100W according to Amazon, can't actually find that info on the box or manual.
Bought it instore.
They had two types available, both are on the HB site
