Yes I have read it, I am obviously at the earliest stage and this is the first private parking ticket I have received so still full of questions...
1. So basically, MPS is NOT a small fry and therefore MUST send the NYK?
2. It is still worth appealing considering the time it will take, the stress involved and the fact that this is completely unknown territory for me and that I failed to show a permit?
Thanks.0 -
You seem determined to find excuses for paying this. Appeal it, ignore it, whatever, but DO NOT PAY IT! You owe this not only to yourself but to all the other people who will be victimised by these scum if you and others encourage them by paying them.Je suis Charlie.0

Lol I'm fairly sure that forums are an area for you to voice your concerns and gain information via discussion in a non judgement community. Im not finding excuses to pay it otherwise I wouldnt have come on this forum and started this thread. I am simply wondering if by not paying it I stand a chance. It's not good enough to have a gung ho attitude and then pay the price for it later. I am after rational advice to make the best out of what is, for me, unfamiliar territory.0

All PPCs must send a NTK - but some muck it up, particularly smaller PPCs. The point is, you almost always wait for it because it gives you another string to your POPLA appeal bow if they get anything wrong in wording or miss the deadline to get it to you (day 29 till day 57).
The only few PPCs where I suggest sending an earlier appeal from a keeper are those where we know there have been all sorts of shenanigans and it's been hard work for posters to get a POPLA code. Even with a huge PPC like NCP! But as we don't have experience of Milliennium, and we suspect they won't have a compliant NTK, I would recommend waiting to see. Because a late or dodgy NTK = a slam dunk win for you as keeper. And in any case the charge won't be a 'GPEOL' (see the Newbies thread to understand the acronyms). Almost everyone wins on that point. No-one loses.
The fact you think you are 'bang to rights' is irrelevant - you are not! Stuff about the permit wouldn't be the point you would win at POPLA with anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just chill for now and wait till you get the NtK. We have lots of ongoing cases, so to speak, and you need to just relax and come back when you get the NtK and just read up on things till then. Then we swing into action and help. OK?
Important you let us know when it arrives, the date on the NtK and date of contravention.
Reason? They often miss deadlines for keeper liability.0 -

Millennium Parking Services (MPS) are proud to provide car park management for the Copper Quarter Swansea. #MPS #ParkingServices
Yep I'll be visiting shortly to see how compliant they are, and to look at their signs and placement. Let's see if MPS are fully up to the standards the bpa strive for lolWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

I too am now in this unfortunate disposition, having placed two permits in both cars of my friends coming round for to my apartment in the copper quarter, one ended up with a £100 ticket, with the ticket stating incorrect permit details. Why must residents and their guests get penalised!.. unfortunately for us there was a match being played at the stadium as well that night.
Having read the previous posts, and having a look at the newbie threads, although they are quite confusing. I am now under the impression that i should inform my friend to wait for a NTK.
The tickets states however that:
1.Appeals/ challenges must be recieved by the company within 14 days of the notice issue date
2.Appeals/challenges recieved after 14 days will not be upheld or considered unless in extreme circumstances and at the companys discretion
3.If you wish to appeal this parking charge notice you should write to us in the first instance detailing the reasons why you believe that this has not been appropriately issued. We will consider this appeal and respond to you within 35 days. If we reject your appeal, we will give you the contact details for POPLA - the independant appeals service.
As I have done no wrong, although having read the threads that is now beside the point as this ticket has been issued, so excuses and explanations about permits etc are defunct, I should wait for my friend to recieve the notice to keeper (NTK) then send the template letter on these forums, wait for a reply and a POPLA REF before proceeding with a formal appeal.
Any advice would be welcome?0 -
