Just looking at the Winners forum, you can see the winners who don't contribute.
You have time for this? Seriously?
I started reading this thread and just thought 'meh', another moan - perhaps OP's having a crap day or something but the more I read on the more annoyed I'm getting. I haven't posted a comp - ever - and maybe I never will but if - IF - I do it will be because I find one, it's not already posted, the time is right, I'm not busy and any number of other conditions. What it won't be is because you are making me feel slightly guilty and as though I shouldn't be here entering comps if I never post them. Was that your intention? If so I'm going to have to cordially invite you to go forth and procreate. I too didn't sign up to any conditions of using this forum. If there are conditions perhaps we should be told?0 -
Although I joined MSE some time ago I have only recently started using the Forum regularly. I did post a couple of comps but was informed (politely I would add) that they had been already posted.
So - I don't bother to post anything I find now as I assume that it would be a wasted effort. I am very grateful for all the regular posters but do wonder if some of them are actual 'real people' !!
How can someone post at all hours, every minute or so, and do they actually have time to enter any comps for themselves? (Probably have opened a can of worms here!)
I do click the 'Thanks' button every time I enter a comp and will post news of any winnings gleaned from MSE posts. However I shall do so without any guilty feelings - we all comp in different ways, and I am sure the prolific posters on this site gain in one way or another from their efforts.0 -
I don't tribute to the winners forum for the simple reason I have been bullied and witch hunted in the past so I tend to keep 90% of my wins to myself and just thank the company/blogger who chose me as the winner. I still contribute to other areas of the forum though. Everyone has their reasons for doing what they do and no one has the right to judge people they do not know.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Well said. I agree no one should have guilty feelings about their comping ways.
Takers (comp enterers not posters) seem to be lambasted occasionally (usually by new posters) whilst the givers (the relentless comp posters) do not. I truly understand why this happens BUT we all comfortably slot in to different roles. Comp wise I am without doubt a taker but I seriously hope I give back in different ways? I am not asking for confirmation of this I just hope I do."The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,

BlueBella you are a dream xxx I hope you don't mind me holding you up as a shiny example but.... I can't remember ever entering a comp you have posted but you have been a fountain of support to me in a lot of areas (obviously mainly comping) xxx
I have been called a "Pollyanna type" in the past but I seriously couldn't give a stuff. Sometimes good/happy/optimistic things need to be posted (In my opinion) and this is a time when it is needed.
This is a great FREE forum to be a member of, whatever reasons constant posters post is no bodies business but their own. I thank every one of them that do, I cuss (I'm not ashamed to admit) everyone that wins something I really wanted, and I sincerely keep my fingers crossed for all forum members who enter the comps.
Call me whatever names you like, I don't give a flying one
Good luck ALL!

Is there a reason you don't post your wins ?0 -

I think it is clear why.
gholmes724 quoted me for saying that I don't post my wins due to past bullying. I don't think she needs to explain in any more detail - it is her business and no one elses:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
