    At mini football training:

coach "Everyone on the balls of their feet"

3 year old Alex "you also have balls under your peepee"
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

My DD got muddled and called the television zapper the Mole Control.

She also got confused between voice mail and answerphone while she was playing on her toy phone, and informed all and sundry that her brother had left a message for her on a*semail.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • I remember when my little boy had his first ever pair of sandals. He pointed to the holes where he could see his toes and said "Mummy, shoe broken".

Are you sure she wasn't trying to call it the mote-control? As in remote?

    The second one is hilarious!

When my DSD was 7, she had been listening to a conversation between her older cousins, and the next day asked me if I had seen a scary movie called "Paranormal Nativity" :)

    Another 'I spy...'

Playing 'I spy' in the living room with my then three year old daughter OH and I had completely run out of things beginning with 's'.

"It's a snake" she said, delighted to have won.
    "There's no snake in here."
"Well, my buggy could be pretending to be a snake!" ........

There's not an awful lot you can reply to that. :rotfl:
    . . .I did not speak out

    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me..

A few years back I was introducing the Nativity story to my class and spoke of the baby Jesus. One little boy shot his hand up, a kid who never normally volunteered any ideas or opinions, so I immediately asked him to share with everyone what he wanted to say. He told me I had got the baby's name wrong. So I asked him what he thought his name should be. He sat there with this incredibly proud smile on his face and said Miss XXXX the baby's name was Wayne. Trying to keep a straight face I asked why he thought this. His response was, we were just singing about him in assembly 'A Wayne in a manger'.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

The nativity story reminded me about when I was helping out at school as a parent helper in Year 1. They were doing a science lesson and all sitting on the carpet and the teacher asked them to name sources of light. They said the expected things like lightbulbs and the sun, then one little boy said eyes.

The teacher said eyes are not a source of light. She said what happens when you wake up in the night and it's pitch black. They said they can't see. She said, well therefore if you can't see in the dark, your eyes can't be a source of light.

They all thought about that for a minute, then one little boy said carrots are a source of light. We looked puzzled at each other and he said "but carrots help you see in the dark" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....
