Despite what one of the commenters on PP's blog has suggested the Fraud Act does not extend to Scotland where fraud, generally, is a common law offence.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Thank you for including the word "law" in the above. ;)

I have a simple method for dealing with unwanted phone calls.

Whatever they say, I simply reply 'no comment'.

They soon put the phone down.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

I just pretend to call the person they want to the phone ... Then put the phone down and wait to see how long it takes for them to get fed up and hang up.

Current record is about 9 minutes ... :T:rotfl:

My favourite method of dealing with unwanted calls is either to inform them that they are being recorded, or play The Laughing Policeman at them.

I use truecall to stop companies calling me, it's terrific piece of kit and it's cut my calls to zero as I can block callers :)

It's a bit of a toss up for me between totally avoiding being pestered in the evening by Peter from 'Vindows Support', or giving him the complete runaround for 20 minutes and getting him going f***ing nuts when he realises what I've just dished him up.

The baiting wins for the present. :)

I know it's tempting to do that, but my truecall was actually paid for by lloyds bank for chasing someone on my so called new number, after a complaint to tps thery gave me compensation of £75 :)

Nice 'freebie' to quiet the Bombay Boys!

I keep them going until I decide to reveal that after 20 minutes they've just managed to get my computer back up and running and the Apple icon is now finally showing on my monitor.

I'm starting to understand the Indian vernacular. And there's me thinking that 'you effing c**t' was Anglo Saxon! :rotfl:

Umkomaas, it confuses them even more when you throw in about your Linux based operating system. At least they have heard of Apple!
