    Hi Nikkisun

I popped in while finishing my 6.28 just to see if you had reported back and lo and behold, yes you have!

So glad it went ok for you, dreading tomorrow morning but this time tomorrow I'll be at work and hopefully forgotten about it. Did you have a brief call from the OR either at court or afterwards? I gather some people do and some don't.

All the best and keep us posted with developments.

    EJ

I was told at the court that if I hadn't heard from the OR by lunchtime today to give them a call. I hadn't heard so I phoned them, the chap was really nice and told me that because my local office was swamped my case had been passed to the next office along! He said that I shouldn't worry and that I'd get a call in the next couple of days.

He also let me know that it was fine for me to access the tax credits that got paid into my bank today (I thought I'd better check as I'd been told not to touch any bank accounts until I'd been told to).

Good luck for tomorrow - I'm betting it's nowhere near as bad as you're thinking it might be!

    Morning fellow Septembermembers

Just to thank everyone for their kindness over the past few days, esp Fermi for helping me sort out the formatting with the paperwork, Nikki for sharing but everyone's been so kind really. I went to court yesterday, a bit shambolic but they said they were short staffed. Stood in front of judge in otherwise big empty courtroom, feeling as if I was about to be judged for murder. She pronounced me bankrupt as of 10.19 on 19th September 2014!

Don't feel relieved, it all just felt a bit unreal, as though I was living in someone else's life really. Then back to the protective duvet of familiar surroundings and colleagues and customers at work - so glad of the diversion.

Now feel exhausted but working full time for next 7 days - urgh but at least the bailiffs won't find me. Apparently it can take some time for the info to get through, what with the weekend and everything so the OR said to still be prepared just in case they turn up.

    Thanks again

    EJ
  • Hi Elljay, at least the court bit is over now! Relief set in for me after I had my OR meeting, hopefully you will start feeling more like yourself soon :)

The only way is up now so good luck for the future :j

  • Hi so as the title say I went through court and had my BR done on 26th.
Just to have the OR interview now. Kinda dreading it but in the initial chat the same afternoon she did sound very nice and non judgemental.
Just need to get my accounts double checked and fill in the odd bit that went missing when moving house-to redo my income and expenditure sheets and pray my partner has backed up all my past invoices correctly on his server! Really don't need this stress I can't wait for it to be over!

Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt. Then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way you can all stick together, compare notes and be there to support each other during the different stages of your Bankruptcies.
Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.

~ Please do not include too much information as the IS (Insolvency Service) are known to frequent this forum and they may identify individual cases, so username and date only, thank you ~
