HPI isn`t going to bail people out this time around.
You're living a deluded fantasy.
There's not a single Edinburgh flat available for rent on Rightmove for £400/ month. Just about the whole of Edinburgh is living in a place which costs more to rent or buy. The Sheeple shun your lifestyle and can afford to put up the cash to avoid living like you.
Forget HPI. Your £400/ month flat could have been bought and paid for already with less money than you've paid in rent. Your irrational fear of mortgages and delusions has cost you big time.
However, being the HPC trooper that you are you'll keep on hitting that reset button on a daily basis.0 -

You are a very silly person Wotsthat. Many people cut deals with private landlords/friends, many young punters just live at home, many adults share or rent rooms, and not everything appears on Rightmove. The landlords with empty flats desperately hoping rightmove will save them are simply ASKING FOR TOO MUCH MONEY. My rent has gone nowhere in a decade and a half, Edinburgh can`t sustain ever increasing rents, it doesn`t work. Bad news for BTL, good news for tenants.0 -
Meanwhile in the real world.

15 years and no rent increase ? Is this the real life or is it fantasy?
Average Edinburgh rents are now up to almost £1000 pcm:

Guys, if you want to believe this press release from an agent who relies on getting landlords through the door for their cash flow, then be my guest. I have rented from them twice, very nice large houses, the most expensive was about £1000 p.m, split three ways in a house share, but a lot of the article is fantasy. I read it as; there are tons of would be sellers who are going to become "accidental landlords" in the future because they can`t sell their properties, we would like to encourage them towards us with daft fantasies about what they could "make" in rent. That`s all, it is B.S, and doesn`t change the actual facts about the rent I have paid and posted about.0

A little like Bubble you have the inside track but can't back up your assertion with data - it's all anecdotal and based on people that form your circle.0 -
