I twice exchanged a five year old car and a hatful of GM Card points for a new car. When that ended I went through Conran Card, Egg Card, Barclaycard, and probably a few more. I even purchased a new car with some odd Halifax cashback debit card.
As murphy says, you remove the cashback, we remove the card.
(Currently enjoying the 2% cashback from Barclaycard Amex).illegitimi non carborundum0 -
I have just paid £5000 into my mortgage using my Amazon/MBNA credit card over the phone directly. My mortgage lender seemed fine with it, no problems whatsoever.0

Of course you did.  Let me guess......you've now forgotten which mortgage provider it was.
Rather then being so rude, check my above post.
I can only pay a mortgage payment via debit card or transfer - NOT a credit card.
My bank has allowed me to pay EXTRA into my mortgage via a credit card.0 -
And who was this generous lender?illegitimi non carborundum0

And who was this generous lender?
Natwest.
Feel free to give them a call and verify if you really have so much spare time on your hands - 0800 400 999
I have been on the phone to them this morning.
They allow the use of Visa and MasterCard to make a mortgage lump sum overpayment, and there are no charges for using a credit card.
Hence I have used my Amazon MasterCard to pay in £5k - all done over the phone.
The payment will be credited into my mortgage within 5 working days. I will then receive a letter confirming the same, and they will backdate my interest to today (the day I made the overpayment) so my monthly payments will change as from today.
I have even logged into my MBNA account just now, and the £5k has gone through as a pending transaction, and I will expect it to show on my statement once its gone through, as per normal.
Nevertheless, lets not derail this thread any further and get back to the topic at hand - 5000 points earned!! :T0 -
Lloyds are considering a 'Club Lloyds' credit card; £24/yr or £12/yr with a Club Lloyds account. By the sounds of it it'd be straight 1% cashback (or points which can be converted to cashback) on all spending.
We'll see if anything becomes of it. Doesn't help the current situation though.0 -

This will probably be an Amex/MC duo like its other reward credit cards.0 -
kind of glad i didn't get rid of the mbna card i had ageas ago. used to be 1.5% for petrol/supermarket and 0.75% for the rest but now 1% for everything.
i was on minus amazon points a while ago. did a large purchase on amazon before returning and getting a refund. would have been curious to see whether they would charge me.0 -
