No, no and thrice again no - it is wrong on every conceivable level - theft or fraud depending on your viewpoint and, as someone else commented - how would you like to wear something that someone else has worn?
  • No no no. This is wrong on so many levels. Where is your self respect and dignity. Just because your friend does it doesn't mean you should. What if the boot was on the other foot. How would you feel if you bought something that was supposed to be brand new and you found out that it had been worn and then returned. You can always tell when something has been worn by someone else.

Is this really in any way a dilemma?

Do we really need to tell people to be honest?

    OK then ...

NO YOU SHOULD NOT GO FOR IT.

IT IS MORALLY WRONG AND PROBABLY ILLEGAL!

    Nuff said.

This is obviously NOT a dilemma - 19 posters who all agree this is wrong and dishonest. Two of whom have done this once and now don't feel they should have done so. No one seems to be supporting this idea.
  • No, of course it's not ok. The fact that you 'feel nervous' about doing it suggests that you might still have a hint of conscience left - don't lose it completely.
  • I now buy all my clothes (except underwear) from charity shops, saved me a fortune and I get loads of compliments! Most of my stuff is Next, M&S and Monsoon! Only ever buy new if I need something specific :)
  • Me too! I love them, so many bargains just waiting to be discovered.

I also wear far more "labels" than i used to, Ted Baker, Donna Karen etc.

One of the best bits i find though, is that I don't see other people wearing my outfit, in the same way I would if I were to buy from a regular shop.
