Money Moral Dilemma: Is it ok to buy, wear and return clothes?

Definately not. I bet the people that do this would complain most vociferously if they found their hotel bed had already been slept in and the linen not changed but are quite happy to do exactly the same thing to the next unsuspecting purchaser of an item of clothing. Unhygenic, anti-social and dishonest.
Need I say more?0 -
The fact you're asking the question should tell you what you're considering is wrong. Of course you shouldn't do it.0

at last we have found a 'dilemma' on which forumites are all agreed on the correct course of action!
Harmony at last - until the next time... ::j)0 -
I just wonder WHO at MSE towers think this is a dilemma and thinks it is newsletter worthy?

MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Sounds like full time work doing this, they must be going to the shops every night! Surely staff would pick up on this unless they really go to that many different shops at different times. Despite their questionable morals, the possible illegality(?) who could even be bothered with doing this even once let alone multiple times.
Do they still get their round in the pub or do they steal drinks from other tables!0 -
Must have a lot of time of their hands! This is wrong, would make me question the values and ethics of someone who did this, do you really want him as a friend? Duchy, no need to be sarcastic as obviously there are quite a few of us who do consider it a question worth asking.0

Sooner or later this person is going to spill red wine or curry or anything else that leaves a visible stain which serves them right for being so dishonest. I wonder if they will still think they are being clever when they actually have to pay for a garment.
One thing intrigues me. Surely he can't keep going back to the same shop or shops because he would soon be identified as a serial returner. There is something about this latest subject that doesn't seem plausible!0 -
What a ridiculous MMD. Of course it is NOT OK. Clothing shops are not rental stores. There are plenty of places where dresses or suits can be hired - use them! For goodness' sake.
Edit - Just remembered that about 15 years ago I used to work with a lady who did this regularly. She'd go into town nearly every lunchtime and come back with clothes which she'd return more often than not a day or two later. I think she got banned from a couple of the smaller shops in the end. She was pretty grim in lots of ways - she was EXACTLY (in looks, voice and attitude) similar to Pauline the Re-Start Officer in The League of Gentlemen...0 -
Should you just go for it? Nahhhhhhh
I have done this once but not with clothing it was with a necklace.
If you can not afford to buy new clothes just buy 2nd hand ones.0 -
