I would have thought theft rather than blackmail, the OP does not have a right of lien.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I'm posting the belongings back tomorrow by recorded delivery. They can't use a t shirt with my name on it for anyone else though!0

I thought I'd give you all an update on how I'm getting on.
One of the committee from the charity I work for met with me last week and gave me a cheque for 3 weeks wages and 1 weeks holiday. They still owe me 18 days of accrued holiday after that but I figured I'm never going to get it. I signed over the bank forms and gave them the passwords to emails etc.
Since then I have started my own event management company and considering it's only been going 2 weeks I've done quite well. I've already been commissioned to organise 3 christmas themed events in town and there are 2 coming up early next year. I'm working from home and earning more than I did in employment. I'm so happy now that I wonder why I put up with it for so long.
Apparantly ACAS say I've got a case for a tribunal and it is going through their early consiliation service first. I'm disputing them over my 18 days of accrued holiday, the fact I was never given a written statement of employment, a job title or a job description (they used to add what they thought my job should be and take things away as they were going along). They are also going to ask for a letter of apology from them about how the chairperson of a charity discussed my possible medical conditions (she said I was going senile and losing my memory - I'm not but she saw fit to tell everyone I was) and my state of mind in a busy drop in centre/charity shop full of customers and volunteers.0 -
You might want to be careful what you post: you never know who's reading! You don't want to give them ammunition against you at the tribunal.Signature removed for peace of mind0
