Spent £32.49 to date this month so well within budget - nearly two weeks into the month yet less than one weeks money spent.
We are having roast beef tomorrow with roast potatoes, Yorkshires, carrots, cabbage and beans. Will need to get some broccoli as well because grand daughter is coming and she doesn't like beans or cabbage.
Last night we had some sticky ribs with salad and they were gorgeous so will be making them again . There was a few left but this morning they seem to have disappeared into thin air - so not sure what happened there!!!! DH says we have mice but I have other ideas and have started to call him Mickey :rotfl:MARCH £62.38/2500 -
An expensive loaf of bakery bread today cost another £2.40, bringing me up to £40.67/£80. I was meant to go out for breakfast today, but didn't, so I treated myself to a croissant from the bakery as well as the bread, but that can come out of the budget for the cancelled breakfast.
I'm off on holiday on the 29th, so this month will be very slightly shorter than usual. I'll need to make an effort to use all the things in the fridge before I go away, so that should help a little, too.Saving for deposit: Finished! :j

£1.50 spent on 2 x bags of prawn crackers for our homemade Chinese fake away tonight. I cant believe we went to Mr T and only came out with the prawn crackers and a bottle of beer for DH we went in for. This never happens when I go with DH.:D
Tonight I made sweet and sour chicken with a sains basics sauce with added pineapple and green pepper from the freezer, chicken curry with Mr T basics sauce and HM SW oven chips and egg fried rice (from a microwave pouch packet thing).
I only used 2 small chicken breasts and the rice x 2 and sweet and sour sauce have been lurking in the cupboard for ages.
Tomorrow we are having pork loin steaks, mash and lots of frozen veg:) I think I will make the little lemon puddings from AGCJ blog to have with custard for pud.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

A grocery NSD yesterday, Wahey! It would have been a total NSD if DH had not succumbed to the siren-like-lure of the DIY shop and bought a roll of masking tape. So I cannot update my NSD record, grrrrr! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

We have no fresh fruit, yoghurt, milk, bread, eggs, bacon etc! Kids had to have dry cereal and upon asking what else there is, I replied "sorry nothing!" Think I need to go to the sm today!
Will get milk, bananas, grapes, carrots, soft cheese eggs and natural yoghurt. Also need toilet rolls and tooth paste. Will update spends after shopping.
Also need to make some bread, cereal bars and apple cake for 2*puddings.GC Jan £200/£200.78 Feb £250/£156.07

I need to do a shop today as not much left in the house. I have really been struggling to focus on running the house and focusing on food due to workload at work. As such I have been eating a lot of food which has very little nutritional content. Time to change that this week.
Off to look at the recipe index for some new ideas.0 -
Bit of an overspend yesterday...number 1 son was coming with new girlfriend and I felt compelled to buy fresh and instant coffee. I'd weaned myself off fresh coffee a few months ago and now it's there, calling me from the fridge...grrr. sig up-datedGC - Oct £36.17/£31
