  • Hello all  My budget is still in August, my September budget will start on 15th but can you still put me down for £240 please?

DD will be back at Uni after next week so might make some savings!

Budget will include food, cleaning products and food for 2 cats. I'm going to follow other peoples examples and not include wine, we don't go out very often so i'm going to start paying for this separately.

I am still working on stocking my cupboards because we moved recently, so virtually starting from scratch in August!

Hi, can I join please? I've been reading these threads for a while, and it's time to get serious :)

I am going to budget £160 for September. This is for food and things like nappies. It's not going to be easy, but I've kind of had a trial run this month. Almost stuck to it. The weekly shops were good, managed nappies/wipes etc. The only problem is the popping over to the local shop in the evening for chocolate, wine etc. The credit cards will be out of reach next month, so will only be able to spend what's in the account. :)

Can I be put down for £450 please. it's a 5 week month this month, that's for 2 adults and 3 boys aged 5,2 and 3months. All food, nappies, wipes, cleaning stuff etc.
I've never ever finished a grocery challenge so I'm determined this time! Need to reign it in now with Christmas fast approaching and 3 children to buy for this year!

Hi, can I be put down for £50 which is from 15th august to 15th Sept and is for just me. As I've split with my fianc! I am moving out on 15th (he is staying here). I've been a closet food hoarder so am trying to run down stocks in freezer and cupboards before I leave.

So far spent £10.73; £5.00 put on work canteen card for any forgotten lunches and £5.73 on milk, yogurt, fruit & veggies for this week
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • First September shop done today. We spent £29.10 in Lidl and £3.63 in Tesco. That should be us for the week. It is OHs birthday on Wed and I am planning on making a nice cake for him so I may have to get some margarine but other that that no more food spends planned for the week.

Tonight's dinner will be HM Chilli con carne which will do us tomorrow as well (with probably some left to freeze or use a lunches).
  • Please can you put me down for £140? My month will run from 28/08 to 28/09. Will only have £40 until 15/09 though :o trying to run down the freezer and cupboards before we move out, hopefully in September!

I will stay at £180 for September. My month follows my pay, and starts on Friday ending on the 30th September. It's going to be a difficult month as it's long, I don't have a lot of tinned goods left in the cupboards, and it's my birthday in two weeks and we will be having a party to cater for. At least we have all of the ingredients for me to make the cake!
