TTMF I'm not sure what to say, I'm not very good with words, but I'd like to echo what others have said.
2 loads of washing done. Got a few drawers and shelves tidied up around the house. I put away dd's vest tops today and got their jumpers down.
I got my nails done, and although they look lovely they cost more than my dress and shoes put together for this wedding! I think I'll just paint my own nails from now. I have lots of nail varnishes, it would be more os to use them lol.
I'm having a quiet hour to myself, dd1 is holed up in her room and dd2 is at a friends, so I'm watching Life of Pi. and I'll do some cross stitch.
Have a good evening.LBM 04/10:j

Hi again,
Just wanted to add to what everyone else has said to you TTFTM, you come across as such a lovely kind person. We all have scars, some visible and some hidden but they are what makes us who we are. I call my scars my war wounds as they are a symbol of the fight I have had to stay alive at times.
I'm really sorry to hear about your husband and his job too. I don't know why we sometimes get piles of poop heaped on us one after the other at the same time but you can and will survive this. The anaesthetic is probably making you feel rubbish too as it can take a few days to leave your system. Try and rest up, eat good nutritious food and be kind to yourself. Sorry if I'm nagging but I wanted you to know you are not on your own :grouphug:0 -

Oh TTFTM I so agree with MrsL. It's what's on the inside that counts and someone can be so beautiful on the outside but very shallow on the inside. You've just had surgery and that won't help with emotions but you come across as such a warm caring poster. Today was going to be a NSD but my friend came over and we went to a Chinese supermarket where I manage to get 10L of white vinegar (2 x 5L) for £3.90 and 3kg of bicarbonate for £4.95. Very pleased with that
I also bought some pak choi now we've never had it before and I've no idea what to do with it so I will be researching. I've seen recipes with it in before and really wanted to taste it so hopefully I find something nice.
My soup is bubbling away and looks lovely and the chicken & broccoli bake smells divine so fingers crossed everyone will enjoy tonight's offering2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Hi everybody,
Late post from me today,I went out for my lunch with my best friend from school, she was bringing my birthday present early as she's away next week.I used to like August,me ,Mum ,Dad & FIL all had our birthdays, but since they all passed away-with Mum & FIL both in August its just not the same,so sending hugs RR.
Also sending many special hugs to TTFTM.So sorry you are so down. I have some scars on my nose/inner cheek from having Basal cell carcinoma removed a number of years ago which I feel a bit conscious about, yet my friends say they never notice.I hope you very soon recover your equilibrium and can work out what to do re the job/travel problems:grouphug:
DS2 was much better this morning so went to work, not back yet though.
Dumpling & Judi- I too am about to start looking after Dgs in a couple of weeks.Fortunately his Mummy is only going back 2 days,so each Grandma is doing 1 day.
Have a good evening x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hugs TTFTM x
Don't under-estimate the shock to the system that an operation has and be kind to yourself.
I understand how you feel as my so called best friend (no longer) told me she couldn't bear to look at me anymore (since becoming ill).
Kindness my friend xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Shopping list to do whilst I'm watching tele , have a nice evening everyone xx0 -
Evening all,
TTFTM.......beauty is only skin deep, as others have said, its what is inside that counts.
Molly....glad to hear that your friend is an ex friend, would find that difficult to think never mind say to anyone.
Cant remember who is expected to mind grandchildren.....I collected both grandsons from school at different stages, never everyday for either, would not have been able for fulltime caring and both sets of parents were insistant that if we wanted to do anything that they would sort out an alternative......boys are nowbeyond needing to be minded, they make me acuppa now!
Stew from the freezer for dinner, just needed freshpotatoes, then apple pie made by OH, bought shortcrust pastry of course, really nice, good to be using up the plentiful apples we seem to have this year.
Been a nice day here, sunny but only about 17c, allegedly we will have rain for next couple of days.
Still no news of repeat colonoscopy, gettiing a bit fed up at delay now, bladder problem seems worse again and hip is very sore these days.....only good news is that DD4 has been sanctioned for mortgage she needed.
Stay safe everybody

Hi all, hope you had a good day. Did really well with low spending for the first part of today. Travelled by train to accompany dd to a police station miles away (she's not been naughty herself). Had to use a car park but it was only £3 for the day, so not too bad. Bought some cheap sweets to snack on.
Very tired when we finally got home. Checked my email and had a dreaded ebay message - buyer bought something 43 days ago and only now says it doesn't work. Ive had to offer a refund for return but means I will be best part of £70 down
Here's hoping I receive it back in one piece and it does work.
Also email from talk talk saying my phone bill was nearly at its limit. Thought that a bit strange so checked and realised dd had googled the phone number for DVLA but clicked on a very genuine looking site but was not DVLA. It was a premium rate number site, which cost me over £11 for 5 minutes! I suppose I'm lucky it wasn't more. TT offered to credit half the cost of the call and put a premium bar on the line. Good of them really as it wasn't their fault.
Hoping tomorrow is better.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -
TTFTM- oh my don't ever stay away because you're feeling down! We are all here for each other rain or shine, and the down times are when we need support the most xx I'm sorry your scars make you feel down. My mum had a very large cancerous mole taken off her leg in 1980 and got gangrene which meant she lost most of her calf. She also had most of the skin off one buttock removed, three moles on her chest and back, and one of those ops when they split you from breastbone to pelvis to look for cancer. When ever she went to the beach people would brazenly stare and she was more than once asked if she had been attacked by a shark. In the end she would just say yes rather than explain!
The house we saw was absolutely lovely, Georgian and untouched, unbelievably filthy and needing structural work. None of which put us off, but when we went out the back you could hear the motorway so loudly that we had to raise our voices to talk
Hugs to those feeling unwell or sad xx0
