Yes, we all know that. It's a long game though and the kiddo knows that, she's played it by the rules, good on her, the tick boxes caused a delay for now, no big deal, she knows the value of playing it by the rule book, no lies no omissions. It's like Mr. IA failing his driving test, frustrating but not one to take personal, put it behind her and move on. We've all had a knock back at a job interview -- not ready yet/too little experience etc regardless of the truth, that's life, she's tough enough not to wallow and to look at the facts and the logic.

I'm not looking at his in the context of IA, but in the context of there being an unknown number of people out there in what could be *any* mental state, but are (rightly) too afraid to go to the Docs to get it sorted out for fear of losing their livelihood.

I see that as a problem.

ARGGGGGGH what a day. Checked internet banking this morning to discover that we £40 overdrawn and barclays had slapped a nice fat £30 charge on our account. Somewhere along the line between yesterday when I checked the internet bankingwhen everything was hunky dory and today we managed to go £10 over  Called up their god awful call centre to be told that they wouldn't speak to me.. only Ste even though it was MY BLOODY BANK ACCOUNT in the first place and I added STE on to make it a joint account... Ste was then also told that we weren't covered for internet banking fraud because he had comprised HIS bank account by letting me know the log in details   w*nkers... anyway.. after a rather heated discussion with some dippy indian call centre woman we gave up and decided to go into the branch seeing as we had to take the car in anyway to have the part fitted for the MOT. Because of bloody barclays we literally had £30 in the bank and no idea whether it was going to cover the car cost or not.. So out came the barclaycard and pin number just in case...
We dropped the car in and went into barclays who gave us all the speil about not relying on our overdraft etc even though we haven't got one and didn't want one and have NEVER been overdrawn ever !! We had a £50 'buffer' when we were with woolwich but it seems to that barclays don't do that even though we were supposed to get a like for like account
Anyway.. in the end she refunded the £30 and told us that what the woman said on the phone was rubbish so relieved about that and have vowed NEVER to call barclays crappy indian call centre again because they are completely and utterly sh*te!!!!
The car is done and we have a brand spanking new MOT :) Cost £28.65 in the end so total cost for MOT + oil/filter change is around £100. Not bad at all considering the oil change alone was £24
So now the total left in savings is £11.64. Yea yea I know but I was so p*ssed off Ste cheered my up by buying some ritual supplies, plus we got some sausage rolls and baby food.

Bloody barclays. Like I haven't had ENOUGH stress recently...:wall:

I'm sure it is a problem.

Personally - not my place to have an opinion but self-opinionated b&stard that I am I'll go ahead - I think a girl in her 20s with two kids has quite enough childcare in her life (I know the money would be handy). Surely more fun ways to earn money - dress up, leave the kids with the husband and do one evening shift a week at the local music pub with adults and other young people; do they not have local grot rock pubs full of indie kids/rockers and goths anymore like when I was young  Walls painted black, small stage, too much black eyeliner/nail varnish (and that's the lads) lots of cider and black. And however loving/supportive your husband/wife everyone needs to get out just so they have something to talk about.
I don't know how severe kiddo has depression but she's got a lot on her plate and constantly worrying about money is depressing and wearing and a bit more eveness (less ups-and-downs) and some more fun.

Oh I'm off to polish my pipe and find my tartan slippers.
