Sar,
Really sorry about the red tape idiots. I can only repeat what everyone else has said today. I would let you look after my baby in a shot.
I do think it was rather cruel of them to ring and say they were coming round but not give you a clue about what it was, get you all stressed out like that. A******es...
Anyway, although I loved the vid of Ash I loved the one of you playing bass even better. You obviously have 'superstar' written all over you............Why be a childminder when you could be the next <insert name of coolest person you can think of>......Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

So sorry Sar. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and that something better will come along , like Spud said. Hope you had a lovely evening out with Ste and just remember 'Don't let the b......ds grind you down'. Sending you lots of hugs xxxNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I tried to post what I actually thought of Ofstead's decision, but I was thwarted by the swear-filter....."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Was so sorry when I came on at lunchtime to check your post and saw what had happened but then happy to see the one about Steve coming home etc and so glad you had a lovely night. The video of Ash is priceless too - thanks for sharing (and hope it's all safely back in it's box now).
Like others on here I'm a great believer in things happening for a reason, I don't turned down for a placement year whilst at Uni but that meant I stayed and got to know one of my friends better and several years later we got married! I've spent the last 2 years trying to get a permanent job and getting rejection after rejection and a month ago I got one and it's the perfect job for me with lovely people and now I feel so much better about the rejections. I'm sure something will appear out of nowhere that is just right for you.

The problem I have with that, is that if IA *hadn't* gone to the Doctors to deal with the problem, then not only would her problem be a lot worse, but she would now be registered.
OFSTEAD are *penalising* people for seeking help for what is a serious problem, and hence deterring them from doing so.
In covering their own backs, OFSTEAD are putting children at risk.
Yes, we all know that. It's a long game though and the kiddo knows that, she's played it by the rules, good on her, the tick boxes caused a delay for now, no big deal, she knows the value of playing it by the rule book, no lies no omissions. It's like Mr. IA failing his driving test, frustrating but not one to take personal, put it behind her and move on. We've all had a knock back at a job interview -- not ready yet/too little experience etc regardless of the truth, that's life, she's tough enough not to wallow and to look at the facts and the logic.0
