Oh sweetheart!! That's awful.
:grouphug: Sending you a big hug. Try not to let this knock you back through. Did she say whether you could reapply once your feeling better?

She said that I'd have to start all over again reapplying when I was off the pills. I don't know why I bother. All people ever see is a great big depressed label on my forehead and I'm always going to have this black cloud hanging over my head.Oh sweetheart!! That's awful.

I suffer from Depression and Panic attacks, so I understand what you mean.
The only thing I can suggest is taking some time for yourself (easier said than done I know!) My doctor is sending me on a course to help me deal with the first signs of depression and stress. Have you thought about doing this? I'm not sure it's going to help, but it looks good if nothing else.
As for why do you bother. You bother, because you care. You want to succeed at what you do. That's not a sign of depression, because you are looking ahead and making plans. If only the stupid woman realised that!
Try not to let this set you back, so you are a wonderful person who has made so much of your life. You have 2 beautiful girls and a husband who obviously adores you. This is not the end, just the beginning. You can stick 2 finger up at them and get better, reapply and become the best child minder in your area.

Big hugs Sar
For what its worth I think they are talking out of their rearr-ends!! I wouldn't have a problem leaving my kiddo's with you!!
Can you appeal at all ~ and maybe provide evidence how you are perfectly capable of looking after children, be they your own or someone else's?
Thinking of you.

Huge hug coming your way Sar! Try not to be too despondent hun .... try and find the positive ..... like .... not having to wipe other kids bums and snotty noses. Plus for now Ash and K won't have to share you or their toys with anyone else!!!

They are not going to register you *now*, with child protection laws, litigation and everyone double-covering their own backs it's not a personal attack or judgement.immoral_angeluk wrote: »They think I'll be too much of a risk because of the PND.
Just like when Steve failed his driving test because a few faults that raised doubts. Disappointing but not really a personal judgement, although you'll be seeing it like that. You'll just have to follow Steve's example, get over it, take it for what it is procedures and double-covering every scenario and use it as experience and reapply. It isn't personal, they don't *know you* and therefore it's easier to tell you not yet, get a bit of distance between you and the PND than risk the you being the one in a million nutter who is a problem and who costs them their job. It wasn't a judgement Steve could couldn't and could never drive, just they weren't going to risk letting him then because he's a stranger.0 -
