  • Could you set up a standing order into a cash ISA, prefably weekly or if you can't do that, monthly (assuming 11 months) so that you still have the money earning interest for you during the interest free period. As long as you see the money as money for the telly rather than dipping into it then you should be okay.

I have a cashcard for my ISA but this is uncommen so there will be less temptation to use the money for anything else if you don't have one. I would also have the ISA with a bank that you don't have your main bank accounts with to stop the temptation to transfer money to your current account if you get abit short (I do this sometimes, but have been much better recently)

On another note, my daughter wasn't potty trained and was due to start pre school one weeks time (this was at christmas quite some years ago) because I had no choice I just had to do it she responed really well and was fine when she started, only having one or two accidents. Its so much easier when they are fully ready, if you are trying half heartedly its too easy just to stick a nappy on when things start going pear shaped, more stress for everyone!

My Eldest didn't want to use the potty I'm not sure now if it was his 3rd or 4th B'day he got a batman suit so I told him that batman didn't wear nappy's so that was that he started to use the toilet!! my second was really good and I think he was 2 1/2 - 3 but my baby who's 21 mths has started to use the potty and we have had several wee's but no poo's yet although he has started to pull his trouser's down if he has done one... I think that all children do it at there own rate anyhow GOOD LUCK

    Hi

Love the new TV. If it is anything like mine it took me a few hours to get used to it as i kept turning my head side to side to make sure i could see everthing in the Picture.

Good luck with the kids but dont wish the early years away. I could not wait until my youngest DD started school full time as i would have the day to myself. My god how i miss the time we used to have together on our own having lunch and the park at lunchtime. It is not like Sky +. you cannot rewind. This is coming from someone who has 3 children with 2 years between each and did not get a proper nights sleep for 8 YEARS

what even the nursary in the school wont take them untill there four all the schools in our area take them when they are three as you are entillted to free school care for 2 and half hours from the age of three five days a week you dont have to use the schools nursarys you can get the funding for local pre schools so i would look into that again as ash will be entillted to the funding once she is three

  • What earwig said!! That sounds like the school are in the wrong. DS is due to start Easter but then he would have to go to school at 4.5 so I am keeping him until after the summer and then he can go at 5.5 and get two full years of preschool. I was thinking of just putting him three days the first year though. I bet I cry that day. I didn't realise Ash was younger than my Ds, I had it the other way about. I am not bothering with him either as I know he isn't keen on it so whatever although we talk about it when the subject comes up. I will wait until he is ready and things at home have settled down as we have a lot going on just now.

Not all schools have nursery schools attached to them. Ours certainly doesn't. My son has just started reception aged 4. before that it is private nursery or playgroup only.
