Well done; I forgot to say that today is payday and I haven't spent anything either............That's a well good feeling and a big change for me :D. Must mean that I planned and prepared better last month so getting back into this thread for the last few months has really helped me.............Big thanks to everyone for that :D:D

That's great news kathy! Thanks. :)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mine dragged in a mouse - found them 'playing' with the poor little dead thing when I got up for work :(. They didn't like it when I took it away from them and disposed of it.........neither did I :(

On the brighter side though................Number 16 for me today :j.

Will be a bit spendy tomorrow as I am going to pre buy train tickets and go to a friend's coffee morning but (another bright side:)) I have got one of the shifts back so will be working both Saturday and Sunday so should manage not to spend then either. Have had to look at car insurance as mine expires on 19th...........actually found that the renewal I got offered was slightly cheaper than the ones I got from comparison sites when excess etc was taken into consideration so have gone for that one and have renewed but the money doesn't get taken until 20th October when it kicks in so haven't spent till then for that and will get paid for the two overtime shifts on 25th so can put that straight back on the card which is good; would have been better if I had had the three shifts as that would have just about covered it all but two is better than one so am pleased about that.

Feeling shattered at work tonight..........am hoping to stay awake until morning but feel it's going to be a long night; I think it's the getting up in the dark, it makes me feel like I've been here longer than I have but will soon get used to that I suppose :). Off to make more coffee ;)

    See you all tomorrow xx

    :hello:

I used to hate the way that nights made me feel 'zombiefied'.I used to do 12 hour nights, but stopped doing them in 2006 for health reasons.I totally get what you say about how it getting darker sooner is a big influence.I hope that you sleep well today. Is it your last night?

:eek:Do not read if you're squeamish!

Years ago, when I was a teenager and we lived in the country,we had six cats.We got hardened to finding sweet little presents on the doorstep -rabbit entrails were a favourite. The worst I think was a nubby rabbit nose plus whiskers. :(
The mummy cat was a great provider for her kittens and used to heave the odd dead rabbit through my open bedroom window and store it under my bed.I learnt to check under the bed every day. :(

  • I have sort of fallen off the wagon.

Yesterday, for example,I bought seven items all at sale price,so instead of paying the whopping sum of 659 francs,I paid 170 francs. Some of these items are for me,some will be presents for this year, next year and even the year after.

As some of you may remember,I'm off-sick longterm and I only have one more full salary now before it goes down by 20%.I think that I'm in a bit of a 'panic buy' mode.I feel that it's justified, just as long as I don't go overdrawn, which I won't allow.I also want to put as much money as I can into my various budgets,so that they're well padded out.

    That's a long way of saying that yesterday was spendy.I won't get my 4-in-a-row now.Today should be non-spendy. :)

  • Woohoo!! It's payday! I am waiting for a rather large sum to depart my account :( It will help us to buy a house though so I'm not too concerned. I'm counting it as a spend when it goes though! I have checked and it's still there (I was told it could take a few days for it to happen)

This week I've been fairly good. If we hadn't had a meeting with our mortgage advisor on Tuesday that would have been a NSD. However we were too tired and it was late when we were done so we went to 'spoons for a steak tea :)
The rest of the week has been pretty good apart from one shop to buy things to cook for our Big Coffee Morning this morning. So I'm here to declare up to NSD #13 :j:j:jand I'm now wondering if I can make it 15 before the end of the month!

marmite you can be forgiven for spending in preparation for a reduction in income, seeing as you saved money doing so, and will save money at present-giving time.
