    Good Happy Friday Morning All!

So I've been away for a few days - extremely busy at work but it's friday now so all better!

And the end of September is edging ever closer

Marmite - thank you for taking the time to list your savings pots - I have cut & pasted it into word so that I can go through with a fine tooth comb to identify which may be relevant for me that I haven't thought of!

As for a debt free date, it tends to move...it's a very slippery little b*gg*r...but at present it is May 2017.

Seems far too far away and realistically I don't think that will be possible if family plans go the way we are hoping. The main thing for me is getting rid of our 2 credit cards. They are both due to be gone by the end of next year (as per my current plan anyway) which will be huge weight off! The college loan will be paid off earlier than it's term even by maintaining the minimum payment so that one doesn't worry me as much

    Right, otherwise, catch up...

    Wednesday was NSD #9

Thursday was not - meal out for mother's birthday - parents kindly paid the majority, we contributed a bottle of wine totalling £15.95! Not bad for 2 courses for 2 people out though!

Today I am calling as no way there will be any spending! So that's me up to NSD #10 and half way to target with only one allowable spend day left...on the plus we have money still left in monthly budgets (£63.96 for food & petrol) Think we'll have to use one day to fill car and replenish fresh food items in to last then that will be us done :)

To help on the food front, we are out at a ball (already paid for) on Saturday and at a wedding on Sunday. I won't be counting our spends at either of those as spends for NSD purposes unless we go over budget. Hopefully we'll come in under!

There was a funding change in April which meant that the job I was in would have changed from three keyworkers working shifts that covered weekends to two doing Monday to Friday one week earlies one week lates but it meant there was a night vacancy and a weekend vacancy.

The keyworker job also meant a cut in pay from 19,500pa to 18,000 pa.

The new weekly shifts would not have suited the commitments I had to seeing mum and the Holloway stuff I do and it would have been a wage drop of 1,500 for more work and more grief from a very 'reactive' manager so I decided to apply for the night position which meant more suitable shift pattern but was also another 1,000 drop (17,000pa); the way I saw it it would keep me in work and also help keep me sane while I looked around for other work.

The mad thing is that one overtime shift took me to slightly over what the keyworker job would have been anyway. was hoping for more this month though as have car insurance coming up in October :(

That's a shocking change in income.I know this might sound naive, but I thought that reducing someone's salary wasn't allowed.Well,I suppose that's if you're working in the public sector ie the NHS.I suppose you work for a private firm?

Wow Marmite- how organised are those savings pots- Going to have a look at how I can organise that as I seem to have just one lot of 'money put away' that gets used when and as stuff comes up but that looks much better.

Thanks. If I leave it too long before undating,I can easily get totally muddled with the figures. As is the case just now.
I should never have taken Hubert up on his offer to use his abacus. :o

I'm glad to be of help. :)

    I've thought of two others:

    41. shoe repairs

    42. storecupboard.I did have a storecupboard fund a while back, but stopped it.I'm going to start it again though.

Good luck with your plans, and the wiggly DF date.Igor can go on the hunt, and tie it down tightly if you want...he's not just a pretty face, you know! :D
