There was a funding change in April which meant that the job I was in would have changed from three keyworkers working shifts that covered weekends to two doing Monday to Friday one week earlies one week lates but it meant there was a night vacancy and a weekend vacancy.
The keyworker job also meant a cut in pay from 19,500pa to 18,000 pa.
The new weekly shifts would not have suited the commitments I had to seeing mum and the Holloway stuff I do and it would have been a wage drop of 1,500 for more work and more grief from a very 'reactive' manager so I decided to apply for the night position which meant more suitable shift pattern but was also another 1,000 drop (17,000pa); the way I saw it it would keep me in work and also help keep me sane while I looked around for other work.
The mad thing is that one overtime shift took me to slightly over what the keyworker job would have been anyway. was hoping for more this month though as have car insurance coming up in October

:hello:Hi all NSDers
Well checking in earlier tonight to say I'm up to number 11:j
Wow Marmite- how organised are those savings pots- Going to have a look at how I can organise that as I seem to have just one lot of 'money put away' that gets used when and as stuff comes up but that looks much better.
Looks like it's two extra shifts not one that was cancelled but think I still have one but in a way it has worked out okay as there were three people I was trying to cram in seeing over Thursday and Friday but now I have rearranged that so it will be kinder one me. I'm going to see one when I finish work tomorrow morning (she's making me breakfast), I'm still being taken out for dinner on Friday and now I'm not working Sunday I can see the other friend on Sunday morning so at least I'm not killing myself trying to see two people tomorrow morning and afternoon so can get some rest in.
I'm thinking Friday may be the last hairdressing trip for a while but I have a voucher for two free cuts from them which I will be using and I'm going to pop into the college on my way in there on Friday to see if I can register there. It's only been recently I decided to go for colouring away the grey but I must admit it does look better:).
Right best get off and do some work now
See you all tomorrow

Morning!
So today won't be a NSD as I have a couple of planned spends, including a haircut. However... I didnt count Saturday as a NSD as I spent a very small amount on some glitchy garden bulbs - the order was cancelled yesterday (though as a goodwill gesture they're sending me a small porion of my order for freeeee) so I'm now declaring Saturday as #13!

Well done on the monthly tv saving :T I must admit we have the full sky shebang with sports and movies. We watch sports loads and it's not a great deal more for the movies with sports if you factor in how much a trip to the cinema is. There's a lot of good series on Sky Atlantic too.
Heading for a NSD toddy, spent two days sanding and restaining my mums doors (front and side) as a surprise for her, still one more coat to do and the brasswork to polish but it looks better I think (back door was virtually bare wood so that's gotta be better now right?) I know how to go wild on my days off.
Oh and got some slate from freegle to break up and put round our pond, old roof tiles, feel a bit bad breaking them up, I imagine they are really quite old. Some people are really kind on there .Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
