Can you explain what you mean by this.

I have been told that if I request it they will not allow me to go over the monthly data allowance. I'm probably using the wrong term but that's what the salesperson said.

I suggest you get that in writing, on letter headed paper, signed by the store manager, just so you have something as proof when they don't actually do it.

Right. Except Vodafone charge an arm and a leg to go over the monthly data limit.

I do see your point but it's kind of moot looking at Vodafone's data charges.
