Hello,

I have an upgrade due and Vodafone seem like the [STRIKE]best[/STRIKE] cheapest option

Unlimited* calls
Unlimited* text
4GB 4G data
Official LG Quick Circle™ Case - Gold 'free' gift
£49.99 upfront cost
£31.50 per month

How long have you been with them?

What is your signal like? The majority of Vodafone posts have been from the boonies and are therefore irrelevant in terms of coverage.

How's their customer service? I've been with Orange for 4 years and have rarely had to contact them, when I have they've been helpful.

In London Vodafone is pretty poor in my opinion. Calls drop and congestion is common.

In my experience O2 is probably the best in London from a coverage point of view. O2 has great customer service as well. Plus O2's tariffs are much better as they split the phone cost and airtime cost meaning you can get a new phone mid contract by paying much less than you normally would on a standard contract from a different network.

What'd I'd say is get your phone unlocked and try a O2 SIM card in the phone for a bit in areas you frequent. Also ask friends and family which is better. Also, make sure you buy a 4G phone.

Connection for calls and texts is ok, though not as good as it once was. As for the other part - customer what??? Then again, Orange used to have customer service but have none since linking with ee. I have detected a stirring of customer what from Vodafone, but one swallow doesn't make a Spring and they've provided many a long Winter.

Been with Vodafone since 2005. I've lived in East London for 4 years, further out in Essex for a year, in Bexley (Southeast) for a year and for the past 3 and a half years in North London. Have always had good reception.

I used to rate Vodafone years ago, however, their customers service is now appalling, I'd avoid personally.

Just have a look at their forum, it should give you an idea how dire their service is - http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/

Whenever I've visited London I've found 4G LTE speeds absolutely dire.

Yes I appreciate there are a lot more people using the network etc in a city centre (amongst other factors) but when a few Speed Tests show 4G speeds on par with 3G speeds (around 9 meg) when EE were in excess of 50 meg.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Report in the news today placing Vodafone last for performance of the 4 networks. EE comes out best overall. Local performance may vary though, it is no use EE being the best, if it doesn't cover the places you need it!

    Hi all,

I've put the feelers out for O2.

    Unlimited* calls
    Unlimited* texts
    5GB 4G data
Official LG Quick Circle™ Case - White
    Upfront £69.99
    £33 monthly

o2 cap their data unlike Vodafone.

I'm most certainly leaving EE as they are just too expensive. I'm all over the place but really cannot justify spending an average of £50/pm like I am currently. I am going to try out Voda for 5 days and see how it goes.

    Vodafone don't have uncapped data.

Can you explain what you mean by this.

That report is quite damning, and shows just how much Vodafone and O2 have neglected their networks.

This conclusion just about sums it up:
Mobile internet performance in the UK is currently a two-horse race, with EE (85.5) ranking first and Three closely following (82.7).
    O2 (68.1) and Vodafone (67.0)
