keyword spamming or is it fair enought?

'as new' is a genuine description! 'not D&G, gucci, prada' is the sort of thing they should clamp down on0

but it happens all the time so ebay arent doing that good of a job to resolve it really are theyThe simple fact is that buyers get really cheesed off when searching for new items - then up pops a stream of second hand stuff.
Either something is new, or it's used, there is no in between.0 -
Update on this Keyword Spamming policy..
I have tried to list a few items on the account that this affected, only to find my "selling privilages are restricted" until I complete a tutorial on Search and Browse Manipulation.
But there is no link to take this tutorial!
After 20 minutes onto telephone support ( a bit cheeky as it was not my Powerseller account that was restricted..!) they finally sent me the link!

After reading a number of threads on MSE about the term "As New" - I guess there will be a few people in the same situation as me.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
The plot thickens...
Over the last week I have used a couple of different accounts to report various listings with "as new" in the title, then placing a watch on them.
Some have been pulled, others not.
So far the only ones that have been pulled, have been low value items in the Clothes Category.
These listings are still up -

Who'd have thought - double standards by eBay? I wonder if it has anything to do with the expected FVF, or Insertion Fee that eBay receive...

I'm sure the sellers of those items that were pulled are grateful for your hard work.0 -
Either something is new, or it's used, there is no in between.
What about something that hasn't been worn/used? It's not used yet technically it's not "new" either. I think that fits neatly inbetween.
If we're splitting hairs the word "new" is a nonsense. The manufacturer sells it to a wholesaler, who then sells it to a retailer. By the time the consumer gets their hands on a "new" item it's third hand.
For the hot and bothered just add (-as, -like, -almost) to your search string. It's not rocket science."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0
