I hope these rules appply to those sellers who, for example, have a BMW for Sale and write Not Audi, Saab, toyota, ford etc underneath, they get my goat enough for me to ignore the listing!!0

Yes they do indeed apply - nothing will get done unless they're reported though! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I've just been stung with this tonight - I had a pair of leather jeans that the Missus bought about 2 years ago and were too small, but was her incentive to slim into them.
She has since lost loads of weight and they are now too big... They are "as new", never been worn and although the labels are not attached, they are in the pocket. They are 2 years old, so can not be considered "new". So I listed them on an auction a few months ago - never worn, "as new". Relisted them, and again they didn't sell. Stuck them in the shop for a month or two, then listed them on an auction last week.
2 bids in, 3 hours to go and the damn thing was pulled for keyword spamming. The whole time the listings were up, nothing in the title or description changed, only the selling format.
I've had a right old tantrum on Live help who were very apologetic on behalf of the UK customer service / T&S team, and have given me the listing fees back.
Is eBay UK really so intent on flushing itself down the cyber-toilet?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Really angry at feebay at the minute...
Tried to sell a polo shirt
OAKLEY POLO SHIRT - SUNGLASSES LOGO - AS NEW - RARE
It was a polo shirt made by Oakley
It had a sunglasses logo
Worn once, did not fit me. I would be lying if I said it was 'new'
It's rare, I bought it from a boutique in America.
The listing gets pulled - keyword spamming.
Apparantley I am not allowed to use 'as new'.
Really frustrating when there are millions of idiots on Ebay who get away conning people every day, yet the little man suffers. I have been conned twice on Ebay and they would do nothing about it.
Time I think to announce my retirement from Ebay...0 -
Because you're an easy target. its easy to stomp on the little guy.
Preventing real scammers would involve ebay having to spend some of its 'hard earned' billions.0 -
Would like new be acceptable? Seems a bit silly really0
