Talkmobile advice needed pleaae

My son has a Windows phone on a 24 month contract with Talkmobile from Carphone Warehouse.
He has been away with his grandma last week and in one day has managed to use over 1GB of data, costing nearly £100 as its over his so called unlimited data allowance of 350mb. Now he can't use his phone at all as apparently once it goes over £50 charges they block your phone. He wont be able to use it until 7th September unless we pay the bill early.
Is there anything I can do? Apparently he only used the phone for a short while then they all went out leaving his phone at the caravan as they were going on the beach. I can only think he left it on by mistake without turning off the internet or whatever he was doing - games, music etc - as at home with the wifi that doesnt really matter. 1GB seems a lot to use in one day though doesnt it? Also, on his Google history no web history shows up for the day he has been charged for, but it does show other days. He says he doesnt know how to delete his history from his phone.
Also, Talkmobile "customer services" are a complete joke. On their website there is no indication of what time the customer services dept is open so you phone, go through all the menus etc only to be told I'm sorry we're closed. But they dont then go on to tell you when they are actually open. Pathetic. The freephone number at the top of their home page also doesnt answer. I called at 6.45pm only to be told they were closed please call between 8am to 8pm 7 days a week, hello! I was!!!
He has another 17 months to go on his contract, cant wait to be able to end it :(

At least they've blocked it before he ran up an even higher bill.
Another reason why contract phones for teens are such a bad idea; unless you use Tesco Mobile with a capped contract, PAYG is the way to go.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
