Smoosh welcome and sorry you are feeling so poorly. I have had kidney infections and I know how ill it can make you feel.
Have a lovely day in bed and rest but my doctor told me to drink plenty of fluids.

Good morning everyone, and again thank you for the warm welcomes.
Dandy-Candy Good luck with your hospital appointment. I've had my fair share of hospital stays and procedures, and when you know it's going to hurt or be intrusive it's hard not to get nervous. But I try to think of 'in a week/month this will all be over and hopefully I'll be better'.
Tru I hope you enjoy your bike ride.
At the moment it's sunny here. We've been very lucky this week, we haven't had half as much rain as the mainland. I live in the most western town in the uk and we normally get the rain first and for longer coming off the Atlantic. Makes a change:)
Kids are still in bed, how they will get up for school in 2 weeks I'll never know! Oh is working again until 12ish, it's his weekend on, so 12 days in a row  In the afternoon we need to drive dd1's friend home and then we're heading to get a dog cage/rack for my car and a bike for dd2. She's never had a brand new bike as she always got the hand me downs, but there is no hand me down available this time and since our pup ate her seat off her old bike she hasn't a bike for nearly a year. dd2 also needs a new seat and tire and I need a new seat too. Thank goodness pup has grown out of the chewing stage.
At some stage I'll get the dogs out.
Sunday is my day 'off'. I'll do a quick basic tidy up, but I refuse to get the hoover out lol. It needs a new bag anyway and I'm waiting for them to be delivered, that's my excuse anyway! Dinner will either be chicken curry with wholemeal rice and a few oven chips for oh or we may eat out. It's very much fly with the wind type day.LBM 04/10:j

Hi everyone,
It's lovely to have a busier thread - welcome to the newbies.
D-G I have pmed you.
Fourth day of my healthy eating programme and it's going well. I watched Food and Drink yesterday and saw Monica Galletti make a dish of Quail with Butternut Squash and lentils which I decided to cook, except using lentils. It was delicious, definitely one to be repeated
I'm very surprised that I haven't missed chocolate at all, usually I'd be really craving some by now. The only downside I've found so far is the cost of all the fruit I'm buying, but I keep telling myself that I'm investing in my health.
We didn't get to see DS yesterday, but will today I hope.

I've got a funny smell in the back kitchen, like the drains. It was there yesterday and i didn't have a chance to look. When i first got up i thought it had gone but i made soup overnight in the slowcooker and that made the kitchen smell nice. But now i've had breakfast and washed the dishes and the drain smell is definitely there.
So i'm going to put on some dirty clothes and start looking. I'll pull everything out of cupboards and probably take the trap off from under the sink and see if it's that.

Morning all,
Bit breezy here but no rain atm, have got a wash on the go and will try to hang it out later.
OH just cooking a brunch I am starving, its going to be a lazy day here I am exhausted from work, I have the next week off so will catch up on the housework then.
No idea about dinner I will go and check my list after this.
Dandy good luck for today xx

Have good days all xx0 -
Update...housework done, new wardrobe filled, half a dozen paintings hung on walls (terrible job/awful old walls), washing machine on, bird feeders filled (though how they are going to hang on in this gale force wind I can't understand) and work mobile found! Haven't had it for two weeks and was just about to confess so now I don't need to show them what an idiot I really am!
So far, so good.
Going to head out in the wind.0 -
Welcome smoosh,
house is in a half decent state, apart from the girls rooms, especially dd1 who thinks when she has a friend round she can act like a complete slob. She's about to get a shock as I'm going to make both of them tidy it hahaha.
dw and wm on. Just walked one of the mutts to the shop to get some milk and bacon, a fry is calling me. It's awfully windy out there, it dried my hair right out after my shower. If the wind died down it would be a very warm day.
Oh and I where discussing last night how we really need some time on our own. We haven't had any time since June. He used to do shift work so we had time when the girls were at school. He was promoted at the beginning of July and now works Mon to Fri. Mum says she can take them for a night in 2 weeks just before they go back. Not sure what we'll do probably dinner and cinema. I'll love my dd's to bits but we've been in each others pockets for 8 weeks now and theres still 2 weeks to go, I think we'll all be glad when school starts.LBM 04/10:j

Oh my gosh ladies (and gents?), I had to rush here with my news. The hospital rescanned me and the cyst has gone and my womb lining is back to its normal thickness!
She said the CA125 marker can be raised by other things so she will redo it in 3 months and take it from there, but it may have been just that I was a bit under par that day. Apparently it isn't very reliable in women who haven't had the menopause yet.
I'm so relieved! There were tears this morning and now I have a smile. DH said "aww good. I don't have to keep doing the washing up now." Cheeky man :rotfl:
Ttftm- I get in a real state before an op to the point that I actually walked out before they got the gown on me last time. They had to rebook me for a month later and let my DH stay with me until I went into the theatre. I know nothing I can say will help because it something you do alone, but remember when you go to bed tonight that that time tomorrow the op is all behind you xx
Welcome smoosh!
Have a good day all, thank you so much for the hugs and support - they really make a massive difference xx0 -

Off to see some friends in a bit, pooch ahs been walked and fed so she's snoozing now.Chicken breasts for tea so thats easy enough to do when we get in.
Take care everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
