That reminds me of Thursday night. DD picked up a part of a hot dog off the work top and said 'OMG I thought that was a finger'
DS2 said ' yes because someone could lose a finger in our kitchen and just not tell anyone' :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Probably because of their upbringing? I don't know if we have anyone here who fits that bill? But it's always considerate to give a warning just in case.
You are rational in your thinking, that's why you don't see that side of things. It's very much a social issue and being aware of what I like to call 'generational thinking'.....the way different generations react to certain subjects, words.....etc.
There's nothing wrong with your way of thinking. You wouldn't be you if you didn't think that way. I guess that it's an awareness that whilst you think something isn't offensive (and you wouldn't post it if you did) you are aware that others can and do think differently and you don't wish to offend them. Then you leave it up to the individual (who knows what they find offensive) whether they watch or not
I'm shutting up now because I'm doing posts as long as yours :rotfl:
Hmmm... is it, I wonder?
For me a "warning" is a form of spoiler. And it's not very considerate towards me to spoil things for me.
"Just in case" ... of what?
There you are...shot down your argument that it was "always" considerate. Not that (a) you even thought you were making any "argument" at all (in the sense of discussion rather than shouting-match) and (b) I'm reading very very literally again:o:o and taking your word "always" as being a complete statement of accuracy.
It's when I pick on one particular word, such as the word "always", that's when it's clearest of all that I am being literal and picking semantics.
However...
That's because you follow the 'general person's' approach and not one of complete accuracy. In which case... everyone else should simply be more accurate in what they say and not use words that don't mean exactly and precisely what they say!:p:p:p:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I would do a Nerf, but dont fancy sharing a bath with a builder “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

No, I was very honest and said 'about my age':rotfl::rotfl:
Well, I find your 40s is a very forgiving age
I couldn't say 21:eek: you'd have been straight on Jeremy Kyle having a grand daughter at that age  :rotfl::rotfl:0
