Please skip this if you might be offended - as I know some people don't like discussion about this, but I'm genuinely bemused about this and asking a legitimate question.
I had to click on it, but couldn't find any 'rude words' at all. Why do people think the word "penis" is a rude word?!?:huh: It's the proper medical name for it. The only word I could spot was the word "balls", but the Collins English Dictionary removed the "taboo" marking from that word in 2001 so, whilst it was 'rude' prior to that date, it no longer is. If we have to prove it 'beyond reasonable doubt', then I'm certainly in doubt due to the different dictionary markings, for example comparing different dictionaries other than Collins. And, if it's 'on balance of probabilities', in other words 50/50 chance, the old Broadcasting Standards Commission research from way back when (2000, which cannot be a guide as to the position some 14 years later as standards change and move on) found that a fewer percentage than any other thought that the word "balls" was swearing - and I think it was below 50%, so I can't even say, on balance of probabilities, that the word is rude. Surely, 14 years later, with the change and general shifts in things on this sort of matter, it's now even less so?
I found and heard no other words in that video that I have any awareness of anyone considering to be "rude" so I'm literally (well not actually:rotfl:) at a loss for words and can't detect any "rude words" in that video, let alone a "few". Where's the "rude" content that I was being pointed to and was looking for?!?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'm sorry if I'm rational in my thinking and trying to consider it logically and resolve it. I know that for "everyone else", or most people anyway, the emotion rules more than the rationality. (And, if me saying that arouses your anger/any other similar feeling, perhaps as a result of you putting yourself within my term of "most people", then it's just proved what I've said!)
We have always used the correct word in our house savvy my girls knew from very young that was what it was called.
Much to be Dad's horror when DD2 aged 2 asked him if he had a penis at the dinner table. :rotfl:0 -
