My workmate is having the same problem with cats using her garden as a litter tray (that'll teach her to have gravel :rotfl: ) and said she's going to try pepper?
I don't have that problem so no idea how it works.

    cats really love gravel :D

Hi QOC. It's one of the reasons I have reverted back to washing powder. Regardless of what temperature I put the washing at, the awful pods / capsule things never dissolve and spready all over the washing. I hate it!

    How is everyone?

Anything special going on at Sada? I've not been for an APG in weeks.

I get itchy with washing powder though :o

Crikey. So that's CALMSPIRIT, SNAP-ANT and me that have dreadful neighbours and are having problems. Anyone else want to join our gang?

I'll join in- my deaf neighbours have got no idea at all how much noise they make

I put them right at the back of the machine, ideally in the midst of the washing.

she checked with me where I put mine- so i told her at the back of the drum before I put anything else in there, which she said was the right way to do it.

I think putting the machine on a "quick" wash might be a bit of a problem though :rotfl:

A question please, what would other people do in my situation - I had a Tesco Finest trouting this afternoon?

Yesterday I managed to get some 1p items - not a normal event, only done this twice before and this was years back.

Today I wanted to get the vegetable nuggets for 70p and COS and OH wanted something so I thought I would see if I could get more of the 1p items.

OH got his shopping and went off to the normal till.

No veggie nuggets  but I got five of the 1p items and went through SS. I was swift scanning but the SSS who was chatting to the basket till girl still managed to spot it. Stopped me in mid flow as I was putting coins in the box. Took items off me, called the general TSS over who went to look and remove the others from the shelf. The SSS, a very unpleasant person, told me that there must be something wrong with the items that they were recalled - an untruth, still in date. I was then taken to CC to have the 5p refunded - no comment was made en route or by the person at CS.

So do I just build a bridge and get over it or do I send an email or put a facebook private message.

Can I suggest that instead of facebook, you use Tesco's online chat help?
You will get an instant response from the CS person and they will often call the store in question there and then - to hopefully resolve your issue.

Go to Tesco.com then click on 'Contact us' at top of page,
then go to bottom of next page and click on 'Customer services contact form' option.
That will open a new window where there is a 'Tesco chat' option.

I have used this several times and have always had my issue resolved.

(You can save the chat for your records as well.)

Neighbours - I think ours lives in a complete bubble with just himself in it.

the list is endless - not major things but small things that build up and get on your wick.

He has got himself a new whirly gig contraption for drying the washing and its positioned next to the fence line in the paddock so we get the full delight of his washing - Friday is sheet changing day as the girlfriend comes on Friday evening. Quite often some of his washing eg underpants will have flown off the line and landed in our garden :(

Later he brings the washing in and puts it all in the dryer very late in the evening. There is only one brick thickness between our kitchens so when you go in the kitchen late at night there is the low level vibration noise of the dryer. The other night he must have forgotten to switch it off so the smell of singing washing wafted through to our kitchen, up the stairs and into the bedroom :(

Then there is the small yappy dog who gets tied to the laundry post for half an hour of yapping.

Then there is his huge 4 x 4 car which is always parked on the road blocks the view so getting out of our drive is very dangerous unless you have someone to guide you out.

Then there is his side gate - does he really have to slam it open and shut each time he comes and goes?

Then there are the random workmen he has in for odd days - 3 different ones at the last count over the last 3 months who spends days noisily knocking plaster off the living room walls

Then there are the bonfires he has in an oil drum which he has to have as he has important papers to destroy except that the smell is of burning plastic, usually when I have got a line of towels out - the last one was at 6 in the morning so the plastic smell wafted into our bedroom window.

Then there is his garden itself which is more like a builders yard but he also has a large shed where his paddling pool lives - we have had to pay for a fence to be put up on his side now to give us some privacy

I stopped being annoyed a long while ago and mostly I think I am just sorry for him

mhoc your neighbour does sound quite annoying.

    :(

But the highlight bit did make me chuckle.

    :o

    Sorry.

    :(

Do you give the underpants back to him?

I understand that CS is CheckOutSmart which is an app. MSL is MySuperList - again I think an app, but not sure :)

Morning all, I have been lurking on and off for over a year now trying to get my head around this. I did a shop yesterday using the A v M comparison list in post 4 - a smallish shop with other bits and bobs that I needed. Will let you know how it comes out when I use the APG check.

I am determined to suss out how best to make this work for me and have read loads of backposts. Is there a post somewhere that can explain things at a "dummy" level for me? :D

I have signed up for all the cashback sites but see that most require you to shop instore so not used those yet. I will trundle along and try to learn from my mistakes and successes while trying to get some pointers from here.

As a complete newbie to this you can probably expect some major c*ckups from me
Ask away . someone will answer hopefully.

    Good luck xx
