I agree with you all regarding the watch - I don't even wear one - last one I had cost £20!

Have hardly bought anything for Christmas for DH, asked him what he wanted and he sent me a link to a lego model of a car - £140
I think I will have to bite my tongue and get it for him - it's kind of within budget of what I normally spend on him & would be his main present. Will be doing it through gritted teeth though - I did suggest we took apart last years model and he just redid that one - didn't go down well
Nipped out after work last night and bought a few more presents. Am not far off finishing the present shopping now - then it's onto the dreaded wrapping.
Tomorrow we are doing a C0stc0 shop and might go to the cinema - fancy the new Brad Pitt film.
Managed another 5 days of soup week and am in a pair of trousers that were too tight so it's starting to work. Week off now thankfully
Accidentally transferred £200 to DH instead of a savings account yesterday - bit worried about myself doing that. Good job it was him and not a third party or company as I may not have got it back.0 -
C0stc0 trip was actually less than budgeted - thats a first :j:j
It's because we didn't need to buy any meat - doing our soup diet on weekdays has meant we haven't been eating much meat.
Saw Allied at the cinema last night, really enjoyed it - a real old fashioned thriller. Also totally indulged and had popcorn - not the healthiest tea but I did enjoy it.
DH and DS bought the Christmas tree yesterday so we'll be putting up the decorations this week I think. They also bought a festive hat for the dog - poor thing
Today we are meeting some friends at a pub mid way between our houses and having lunch out. Another lovely December treat. :T0 -
Well done for sticking with the soup! I'm glad it's working for you. I've just started my latest (fad) weight loss plan - Monday to Friday I just have one main meal. I hate calorie counting and I love feeling full so this sounds perfect but we'll see how I cope with the hunger. I'm hoping I'll just get used to it.
I think re-doing last year's Lego is an excellent idea!. I guess it's worth £140 if it makes him happy.

Hi Amy, yesterday and today my appetite has been huge and I've been picking at food constantly - bad days - really need to get back into it. Your main meal diet sounds good but when do you eat it? That would be my problem, psychologically I like my main mean in the evening but I don't think I could last all day without food- skipping breakfast is enough of a challenge for me!
I intend to do soup week next week and then have 2 weeks off over Christmas (and probably put on every pound I've lost ).
I have also bitten the bullet and bought the lego - £140 I'm ashamed to say! However I have spent that much on boots and once on a leather jacket which DH would never consider doing - its horses for courses and he will really enjoy spending a couple of days over Christmas building it -big kid at heart huh :rotfl:
More Christmas shopping planned at the weekend, boys are going to Germany for a whistle stop Christmas market trip - early Saturday departure then home Sunday evening. So I will have a lovely clear weekend for sorting a few bits out in the house and doing some shopping. Might take my mum out for lunch too.
Just Friday to get through now....0 -
I have spent the weekend doing housework and shopping! Can't believe I still have more to buy for Christmas but I did start late this year.
Really tired now, never sleep well when DH is away - feel quite twitchy so was very unsettled.
Starting to think about getting back into selling stuff - haven't even tried since the phone scam a year ago.0 -
I'm a week in on the one meal a day diet. We eat our main meal around 5.30-5.45 and through the day I try to just eat one piece of fruit, but if I feel dizzy rather than hungry I will eat more fruit or a bowl of cereal or something. I've always been a big breakfast eater so a lot of it is mental and trying to focus on the massive lovely meal in the evening! I'm not weighing myself (the scales broke ages ago) but just from looking in the mirror, my belly definitely looks smaller.
I remember one very happy Christmas making a Lego Technic motorbike. It had been my brother's the year before but he let me dismantle it.
Selling online really isn't for me. I find it so stressful and recently things either don't sell or they make £5. Charity shop all the way for me!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

For some reason as I was going to sleep last night I started thinking about wills or rather the fact neither I nor DH have one. As he as previously married and has a daughter by his first wife I'm worrying if he dies intestate it will complicate things.
Nice cheery train of thought for Christmas!
Something to add to the to do list for the New Year I think.0 -
Excuse my smugness but I have just finished my last working day of 2016!!! However I woke up today with a raging sore throat but am determined to just power through with positive thoughts. Even managed my 10k steps today.
So immediate plans/jobs:- Finish Christmas shopping (presents)
- Wrap all Christmas presents (DH can do all awkward shapes)
- Clean bathroom
- Clean master bedroom
- Dust venetian blinds
- Sort through gloves and scarves basket
- Food list for Christmas period
- Rake leaves up in b
Wild huh - and thats just for starters:cool:
