Achievement today is that I am now at over £20 on my 0nepoll account - it's only taken me 6 months and payout is at £40 so not happening soon but I've got the bit between my teeth so will persevere.
Payday yesterday and today the first payment went into the S&SISA which I have decided to start topping up again.
The house is also in an incredible mess with all the comings and goings (electrical testing meant checking EVERY plug socket) so furniture has been moved and we have moved stuff into the new den so some furniture has been emptied out and dumped on the floor of the lounge and is still sitting there. I paint a lovely picture of our domestic bliss don't I.
Am excited about the first election special on telly this evening - I know - geek alert. :rotfl:0 -
Lots of pottering, cleaning and tidying today to try and get the house in a reasonable condition.
Also need to go through and check the list of stuff DS needs for his ski trip in case I need to pop out and buy anything tomorrow.
$ky haven't taken the payment out which was due this week. This was/is. I kept a keen eye on it as I worried they'd take the previous, higher sum instead.
Not really sure what to do now DH is all for ignoring it but I wonder about contacting them (for the 6th time in a month!) to query it.0 -
No real money news, had to nip to supermarket to bet few bits for DS's trip yesterday - that was a spend of £21.
Didn't get as far as I wanted with the house work (do I ever1!) not helped by managing to fall down the stairs while bringing a heavy basket of washing down. Bit of a shock and feel somewhat stiff and sore now.
So jobs for today:
Hoover through - downstairs
Sort all washing out
Clean bird poo off step of new garden den - how dare the birds do this!
Burn some cardboard boxes - might not be possible as it's raining
Get all DS's stuff out ready to be packed for his trip
Need to start making some more interesting plans for our weekends :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Sorry to hear you had a tumble... I knew housework was bad for a person... that just reaffirms it
Hope you feel less stiff & sore soon0 -
Bookwork I whole heartedly agree - ironing is even more dangerous with the risk of burns0

Love the various names you call me... :rotfl:

Thanks Cookie9 - yes I am ok, but feel quite sore across my chest and shoulders. Sadly things like this seem to physically affect me more as I get older - yet another sucky thing about getting older!
Have just forced myself to go for a 6,000 step walk with the dog - just having a little rest before I tackle the washing mountain.0
