They giving plenty of notice to either get cash or find an alternative.
If people cant read or understand them then it's tough. Plus who's out clubbing on a sunday night. Theres a reason why banks picked this time. less demand for the service.actually it's not Sunday night, it's Sunday morning, good job you read the notice otherwise you might get stuck :rotfl:
Yeah, these idiots who can't read or understand simple notices from their bank don't deserve any of our sympathy.:T0 -
Yes, into a discussion about ATM availability.
I still don't see the linkage to a referendum?!You brought Scotland into it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I always have £50 hidden in a envelop somewhere in the house incase I need it for a emergency taxi ride home.
Proved very useful last month when I got knocked off my bike and my GF had to get a taxi home at 2 am from A&E when she had no bag or anything.
She drove to where I had been hit then left the car and got in the Ambulance with me.0 -

Announced? It was put on online banking about a week ago. There has been no other notification from Halifax. Anyone who hasn't logged in this week will have no idea they're about to be cut off. Ah well I'm sure your kids are all way too smart to be caught out...0

Seems the big blackout has been and gone without incident.0

Seems the big blackout has been and gone without incident.
Miraculously, the world is indeed still turning. Took me 10 seconds to find tales of woe on twitter though. Inevitable when you consider that many (most?) people have just one current account and many people don't regularly check their online banking.
These things have to be done and the time they chose to do the work seems sensible to me. Some people would have been caught out even if they'd run TV ads all week.0 -

Relying on the cash machine always working is simply idiocy. As shown by this case, they go down sometimes, for a few hours.
Not anticipating this, then blaming the bank, makes no sense at all.0 -
