It is quite nice knowing that when girls have been to clubs this morning there is not much to do. So much so that might go out with merlin passes tomoz.

Not done clicks yet as I am leisurely enjoying my morning coffee but will be done before we go out.

Two bounced cheques... I have to get on top of this. I have to sit down this weekend and list what needs paying, I am not going down the debt route again... Not that I can can credit anywhere but it does get me depressed and stressed. I get so worked up and feel like a failure.

As there was nothing on TV I liked and To take me mind of it I did some sewing and making craft things for a stall. Girls made me chuckle as they want a go on the machine and I said tomorrow. Eventually I caved in as really they just want to press the pedal so were sewing with no thread and just a piece of material! I managed to alter a dress and mend some dungarees. Also found some material for tubes to put plastic bags in.

Hope weather stays fine so washing can go out rather than in dryer!

Well we didn't make it put yesterday as the car battery was flat.. Someone had not closed door properly.

Unexpectedly home early today.. I have to take dd to dentist later so started to list what incoming and out goings this month. Not put amounts in yet but wish hadn't started as it is a depressing read. I just can't wait to be paid again. Roll on Friday!

Finished clicks and just got normal house stuff to do now when back from dentist.

Had to resort to using dryer this weekend due to weather.

To take my mind off things I am going to veg now in front of TV with no kids to disturb me.

What a poor do the dentist was yesterday... Our dentist had referred dd for tooth to be taken out not by numbing by needle due to severe phobia. Turn up at place to find they had extraction stuff out and were going to take out by this method. It was all set out. I did not tell dd this, so now we wait again. I look at all the boards they put up about wasting dentists time but what about mine. That's an afternoon pay I gave up for nothing. Rant over

What a busy few days! Still got to get dd back from brownie camp today. This was paid for last June, I'm glad I did other wise she would not be able to go. My other one is meeting up with her friends, luckily they have the type of mums who if jaz said can we go the park instead of going swimming/mcd then they would encourage it!

Got paid Friday and don't feel much better off. I am still not going to be able to pay everything. I think this is me mis budgeting because I get paid two weekly not monthly so I am clueless this morning on how I am going to tackle this. In two weeks time I should be back on track but it is I between that is the problem. I am quite stressed with it but after watching the news realise I should count my blessings for what I do have.

Going to check the food cupboard so I can do my shopping list.

    Have read your entire thread.
Had not heard of nectarads before, so have now signed-up. I see they have over-come the issue of people simply sticking the ad on then switxhing browser tabs.

Yesterday I was so shattered that I was in bed by 830pm. I worked out that alongside normal driving I also spent three hours in queues caused by road works and/or crashes!

Finances are dire and I am so putting my hand in the sand which I know is not the solution. I know I can pay everything next week when paid. Worked out that I am actually owed about £100 in expenses as well!

I have ended up using my nectar points to cover petrol and used some of my tesco vouchers cover bread and milk etc. this means that the girls can use the cash to go to their clubs.

I have also learnt that this does cause slob lady to reappear ... i.e. My house looks like a bomb site again.

Just been doing minimal clicks focusing on my favourites.

Quite depressed as I feel I am never going to get an emergency fund started as will be living hand to mouth. I really feel like a failure and bad example for my girls.

Friday already, really glad that when I have cash I top up the store cupboard and freezer. Don't think I'd make it through otherwise. It also helps that girls like pasta based dishes as well!

Disaster struck on weds as they shower was leaking all day whilst I was at work and the hall carpet was saturated when we got home. It now seems dry but really smells and I'm not sure how to get it all fresh again. Any ideas?

Done my clicks and I'll start the house in a minute. As I know roughly what I will get paid next week I am hoping to sit down and do the budget and get myself back on track. Zero hours contracts are hard. I have seen a part time job that possible could fit in with my hours and is fixed term until next summer so I might apply so I know I will have money each month to cover the basics.

My plan is to also try and pay some cheaper things like house insurance up front for the year to try and reduce the outgoings for next July/august when I don't have work.

Feeling more positive but why does money always affect people so much?

I don't want to tempt fate and all that but since April I have been on a 0T tax code. Since I was on a zero hours contract I thought that's what the code meant! I hadn't given them a p45 as my employer said they had sent it and I defo had not got it. It turns out that it had been sent to the school not to me and has finally arrived. Now I have googled more into I think I might be entitled to a tax rebate.
With everything going on that would be so nice... But I am not counting on it!

My hall carpet is really smelly after the leaking shower and is making me sick. It's that horrible damp smell. Baking soda and white vinegar are suggested so might try that.

Need to crack on with everything today as out most of tomorrow! Need to budget food and petrol again this week as well. This is a killer as I don't want girls to not go to clubs but we are that close to bottom of the barrel this week.

I sent in all 3 of the P45s I had from the 2 agencies and the Jobcentre and HMRC have mistakenly decided that I owe them £400.
This will sort itself out at the end of the Tax year when they realise that I have only earned £12k for the year and not the £18k they think I have.
