    Morning all.

Good luck to all of you and your loved ones awaiting A level results. I hope you all get the results wanted. Sistercas I'm so pleased to hear of your DD`s results. Get her on MSE, we could do with a vet amongst us.

Not sure what I'm doing today and I've got nothing planned but we will see.

Sending many hugs to Dandy. Thinking of you. Hold in there!

    Onwards and forwards,

    Have a great day all.

    Morning all :)

Firstly I want to say thank you all for being so kind and supportive, it had me in tears (good ones) reading your lovely messages.

I went to view that house yesterday morning to keep me busy, and although it wasn't right for us it did keep my mind occupied and I'm really glad I went. Then I went to my counsellor who talked everything through and I was feeling much better and then I said "Yes, hopefully it will endometriosis or something" at which she said "why would you want it to be that? That's a horrible disease, it can lead to cancer" seeing as how the Dr had said she thought that it was a strong possibility, I was pretty bummed out by that comment!

Anyway I felt a bit blue all evening and then my lovely friend in Devon rang and cheered me up again, and I managed to sleep through from 10.30 last night to 6.30 this morning so that was good :)

Molly- so good to see you posting. That black dog is the absolute devil and I'm still fighting that battle. PM me anytime you want. I keep lavender oil by the bed to calm me when I get in a state and if I can face it, I have a few happy/funny movies I put on. My Friend swears by gossip mags like Chat and Take a break for keeping mind from dwelling in a dark place xx

Candlelight- I think it is shocking about your neighbours dog, I am appalled that they haven't done more before! I do hope DH is ok now, your home should be your sanctuary

Sistercas- many congrats to your DD, I bet you are all so very happy :T

I too am on the nervous mums list - DS2 is getting his AS results this morning, fingers crossed to all it the same boat!

Much love, hugs and thanks to all xx
  • Good morning everyone :)

It's not raining at the moment so the washing is back on the line, having done the hokey cokey with it several times yesterday!

Am off work today as I need to get a few things done before I go into hospital and GDD is saying she hasn't stayed with us during the school holidays. She is totally ignoring the fact that we have been at their house every weekend and this is the reason why! Anyway am making a roast dinner for her too tonight.

Have an ebay and an Amazon sale to pack up and post, so will get those done and post them at the same time as I pick up a couple of bits of shopping we need.

Very well done to Sistercas's DD and good luck for anyone else's family expecting exam results today or next week.

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day.

Ttftm - good luck at the hospital today x
  • Morning all.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts regarding my youngest x

I've taken him out the last few days and he's enjoyed himself. We had a few "moments" with him but not too bad all in all.

On Tuesday we took the train to Stratford and went to a children's story centre place. It was lovely for him. I booked him in for a story telling session but he hated that so we left. Took him to mcdonalds afterwards which he enjoyed.
Yesterday we went to barleylands farm. If you're in SE Essex, I really recommend this place. It was really good value for money. We went along with my friend and her daughter. They're going back to Australian in a month and I will miss them. Again, ds behaviour was mainly ok but he performed when we had to leave the park and when I offered around the fun of watermelon as he thinks it was all his. Afterwards we bought ice creams for the children. They were huge!

Today I will pop to southend just to return some bits to Debenhams. I could go to lakeside but I hate the A13!

I need to do some washing and housework today, haven't done anything for a few days.

Drove to Chelmsford last night to pick up dh from the cricket ground. He went there for work, believe it or not! He had a good time and met graham gooch. The A130 was shut going there so I had to follow some diversions which drove my sat nav mad, she was shouting at me to do u turns!

Don't know what ok doing for dinner tonight. Have mushrooms to use up.

Dandy-candy, take care lovely. We are all here for you xxx

Sorry, I have read bit can't remember anything else, sorry for missing replying to stuff. I should write stuff down as I read.

    Love (((hugs))) and spoons xxxx

    Morning,

Lots of luck to those getting exam results today,& congrats/commiserations where needed.
dandycandy, you sound a bit better today and glad you got a good nights sleep.

Molly- glad to see you posting & hope you are better soon

redruby-we have a couple of old chests too,and I have a dressing table that I shabby chic'd but I'm thinking about stripping it back when we eventually move into our own place.DH rescued one of the chest of drawers when some friends were going to chuck it out- I think they had it in a garage painted green or something but DH spotted the potential.Stripped & polished & new handles it looked fab and the former owner was stunned when she saw it :D The wood is satinwood and it's lovely.

lilyplonk, thanks for mentioning Lyla and her op,she's currently hiding under the table :rotfl:must have been one of those scary delivery vans that beep when they reverse coming past the house.
Made some bolognese sauce yesterday to go in the freezer.DS1&2 had burgers for tea and we had some lamb chops from A1di,v nice too.
I was going to have a housework day yesterday but after DGS went at lunchtime I decided I wanted my hair cut instead :D .I'd texted my own hairdresser last week asking for today but he was away and said he'd text when he got back, & hadn't so I rang and got one for 3 o clock at a different place with some trepidation.Blow me if he didnt text at 2.30 so had to explain I was going somewhere else & a bit short notice to cancel. Thought he was sulking as he didnt reply :D but got one this morning thanking me for letting him know. Anyway the new place was lovely and I went the whole hog and had my nails done too :p

Wanted to look nice tomorrow as I'm going to be a film star :rotfl:I got involved in a local history project because of my 5 great Uncles who went off to the 1st WW,and they want to record some peoples stories for posterity,& its my turn tomorrow - hence the housework as they are coming here.Got a big bone to keep pup quiet, hopefully.Anyway talking on here won't get the jobs done ;) Hope you all have a good day xx

    Good morning everyone :hello:

What a change in the weather! I feel quite chilly here this morning. Hubby went off to work for the first time wearing jeans instead of shorts...actually he had his waterproofs on as well because of the rain. Autumn is definitely on its way, time to break out the slow cooker :D.

Good luck to everyone's DD's and DS's due to get their results today. Mine are still a little young for that but DD14 starts her GCSE years when she returns to school.

I'm just waiting for a taxi to take me, DD11 and my granddaughter up to a local shopping centre. I am going to get them both a new school coat each hopefully. There may be some spoiling involved too :rotfl::rotfl:. I've seen a dinosaur coat online for my grandson too so I will see if they have it in stock up there as he is 3 and dinosaur mad.

Hope everyone manages to have a good day whatever they are up to. Take care xx

How old is your counsellor about 18? what a stupid insensitive comment. I'm pretty angry for you right now. As though you haven't got enough to worry about.

My neighbour has just had surgery due to endometriosis and she didn't have cancer.

    Hi everyone,

I'm late today, DH rang to say he was on his way back fro London because he's forgotten his wallet with ticket and oyster card in it and could I meet him at the station with it then he could turn right round and go back on the next train. AS I was out I decided to go and do the shopping I wanted, only for him to say that he was expecting something to be delivered between 10.45 and 11.45, so instead of having a leisurely shop I was a bit rushed.

I spent a fortune in the wholefood shop -after doing quite a bit of reading I've decided to try an elimination diet to see if that will help with my various problems and growing number of allergies, becoming allergic to toothpaste was the last straw. I know it's going to be hard but it's only for three weeks, I keep telling myself.

Sistercas, well done to dd and I hope all the other people waiting for results get the news they want.
  • One very proud Nana here. DGS's AS results a B in Physics, chemistry and biology.

This is a little boy born with dispraxia, and we were told he would never be able to swim or ride a bike. I said well that won't be the end of the world anyway. Needless to say he can do both (swims like a fish) and clearly a lot more.

Can you tell we are so proud of him?

Many congratulations to everyone else who had results today
