This sounds very familiar.
Did you change your username or delete any previous threads about this?
I seem to remember asking in another thread about the same things how 3 x garages determined the head gasket had failed without removing the cylinder head to inspect it.
I.e they were guessing and that guess might not be good enough for the credit card company. All your base are belong to us.0 -

Then do what I say.
Chargebacks also involve the other party and their merchant bank. A S75 claim doesnt.0 -

Original Post for those interested
'chargeback refused cos i scrapped car?
had repairs done, he didnt do it correctly.
now its been refused due to i scrapped the car?
anyone had similar things'
Followed by
'acualy i had 3 garage reports on it from 3 diffrent garages, all saying faulty head gasket. which is what i paid him for'
And
'3 garage reports, non was touting for business, and ,my cred company was happy with the reports.'
Story about head gasket failing seems familiar to me too!0 -
Yes, i'm sure this user reported this already on two different threads filled with constant lies and insults (happy to be corrected if wrong)
The same advice was given that the garages were guessing it was the head gasket. (you can only verify it by stripping the engine to check)
In short the OP didn't care about the advice and just wanted people to agree with them. They also didn't get the original garage from what i remember a fair chance to resolve the issues.
Anyone who disagreed was insulted and everyone was told their opinions didn't matter as they were being refuded.
Glad it worked out well though. You didn't need the forums advice on how to save money it seems. You knew better :TAll your base are belong to us.0 -
